  • never knew he cried at 4:47

  • this just reminds me of how fucked I am......

  • @machkando what do you mean?

  • @Arghilehman well it's rather personal but let's just say this beautiful video of yours represents my life currently. Except without all the star wars stuff lol.

  • it just breaks my heart when i see him cry..

you know in that moment that he really is suffering..the torment and conflict within him..

  • @padmeluvs The deepest part of the prequel trilogy, I think. I mean, he's so tormented, and he knows he just made a big mistake that he can't really undo.

  • awesome!!!!

  • @melunesf Thank You! :)

  • Great video, and after reading the comments below, and thinking a little, I am realizing that if Anakin would just shut up a little, the romance would have been much more believable. I think his emotional distress was WAY too vocalized. Made it awkward.

  • @thewritingwriterof89 Thank you for the complement!

In terms of your inference about Anakin's awkwardness, did you mean the actual actor, or the character? I do think that Hayden C. went a little overboard with the Padme dialog, and that it was a bit hard to take him seriously. However, his acting for all other parts, including his fall to the Dark Side, were acted perfectly fine.

  • @thewritingwriterof89

As for the flaws of Anakin the character, well, we all know that he had to be pathetic and whiny and lovesick for him to have turned to the dark side.

It's my old Jar Jar argument:

Everyone complains about how Jar Jar ruined Star Wars I, but I wish people would realize the character, however annoying he was, was completely necessary for the story. And for that, I can look past his annoyingness.

  • DEEP!!!

  • In the trilogy many scenes with Natalie Portman and Hayden Christianson were not very convincing. Maybe it's an age thing. The Jedi played by Liam Neeson, Samuel L. Jackson and especially Ewan McGregor, were great. Christopher Lee was awesome as always, and Chancellor Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid) was outstanding. I just think Anakin and Padme were kinda sappy and adolescently pathetic/moody/naive. No depth of character. Maybe they were meant to be, but they just annoyed/bored me.

  • Ah, I thought you were saying that my video was lame the way I made it. I didn't know you were referring to the actual scene from the movie; I thought you meant the scene that I made.

I agree that the romance between Anakin and Padme was acted pretty poorly, but ir is essential for the storyline; otherwise we'd have no Darth Vader. And Palpatine and Obi Wan are two of the best characters from the prequel trilogy.

  • Anakin and Padme were played only modestly well. The older Jedi and bad guy actors totally blew this pair out of the water. Very lame scene at the start IMO.

    But Obi Wan rules!!!

  • Lame, huh? Any particular reason why?

And which scene(s) had the older Jedi and bad guy characters? Do you mean Hayden Christianson, the guy who plays Anakin?

But regardless, any opinion is a valued opinion! Thanks for commenting!

  • i so lov et his video it so cool and sweet

  • Why, thank you! :)

  • The same later in the clip; I wanted you to be able to hear their words, so if I muted the clip, you wouldn't hear their words. I decided that keeping the dialogue was more important than having the soundtrack music softly in the background.

You may notice that the only time you will hear the movie music is in parts where I wanted you to hear their dialogue.

  • Yes, I am aware of the Mute ability, and I did use it a few times. However, as I said in the previous comment, I could not fix this without sacrificing the video.

I wanted to keep the dialogue between Anakin and Padme, so if I muted the clip, you wouldn't hear their discussion of Love, etc.

  • Brillian editing! I love the song choice!

    Amazing. =D 5/5

  • Thank you, GenieBella, for your sincere comment! :)

As I said to a previous comment, I enjoy doing it and enjoy more hearing people's approval. Star Wars is a bit of a life obsession for me, so hopefully I will be able to crank out another one soon. If you have any song choices, feel free to suggest them!

  • Good, BUT, since the actual movies music can be heard in the background it makes the Moonlight Sonata ostinato sound weird.

  • Yes, I fear this was the most obvious criticism for this video. However, to be honest, there was nothing I could do using Windows Movie Maker to remedy that; with the tools I had, I couldn't do anything about it without sacrificing the rest of the video.

Hopefully one can look past that and enjoy the music until I can buy better software! Haha.

  • DAMN! It's Really Good!! On a side-note, you could have included the scene where he returns from avenging his mother's death. Perfect otherwise. 5*s.

  • You are completely right!

I would have totally used that but did not have that footage to work with, which makes me a bit sad. But thanks for the comment! I should have a newer video out soon, for you guys!

  • Great Video man ! 5*

  • Thank you for the sincere comment as well! It makes me glad to do this sort of stuff and see it appreciated; I hope to be able to upload some more soon!

  • this is one of the best montages i have every seen!!! this is wonderful!!!!

  • Your video is amazing, honestly!

I convinced someone to watch Star Wars with this video. :))

    Great great work!

  • Thank you! It took me a while to finally be satisfied with it, since I am not really an expert movie maker, but I am very glad that this helped convince your friend to watch Star Wars!

Thank you for the kind words!

  • A very compelling achievement, Arghilehman.

  • Awesome idea of playing Anakin's fireplace dialog over top the balcony scene! I thought the effect was beautiful.

  • Thank you! I knew that it would be hard keeping all of their important dialogue/scenes in under 10 minutes, so I aimed to superimpose one dialogue over the scene.

    Thanks for your sincere comment!
