Some rescue dogs can require a little work as they can be nervous ............ But once they learn that they are loved and not going to be hurt they can settle ......... My own little girl used to hate her head and face being touched when I got her ............ She loves it now!! ....... Took some work and patience, but she now also lets others pat her head and often puts her head on their laps.

still think they could of given gilbert a home,he would of been ok with a bit of work and got used to it all..dogs need time to adapt,thats all...

Fantastic to see a story like Gilbert. Not all dogs find their forever home first up and it's great that people get to see that rescue works so hard to place the dog with the right family.

Oh, poor Gilbert. I'm on tenterhooks waiting to find out if Gilbert has found his happy ending yet. At least he is safe in rescue until his forever family arrive!
