  • That pig has really long legs

  • the bridge picture was softer because of "diffraction".

  • it would be a good idea to repeat this kind of feedback video every month probably rather than every 2 months.

  • Mark, the ISO/noise question was from me. Thanks for the answer. No one explains it like you do. Keep the vids coming !

  • "Really Ugly Fruit Picture" HAHAHAHA... priceless !

  • Great questions, love the quick answers to multiple questions! Thanks Mark!

  • you should charge for your videos :)

    Please keep them coming.

    Cheers,

  • I thought bokeh was being creative with out of focus lights, like creating squares, triangles or even words!

  • I consider myself a Semi-Pro Photographer. I've been published in a few magazines, but it's not my full-time job. I really appreciate the time and effort that you put into these videos and the material you cover. If it was a seasy as reading the manual, colleges and universities wouldn't exist. Perhaps in the future you'll have "Guest" photographers sharing their experience as a teaching aid, similar to your interviews with "Pros".

  • @adoramaTV when you mentioned the 1D mk 4 and the D3S you guys realise you put 3DS right?

  • Mark, this has to be your best video yet.. Great job!

  • Great episode Mark, looking forward to the next rapid fire video

  • how can we ask adorama to keep making these videos because you said that they only paid you for 100 episodes

  • thanks mark you guys are the best!

  • Fantastic episode Mark, the recap of previous shows was very useful, you should do it more often.

  • The comment of not answering "manual questions" is stupid, because a manual cant give me such a good explanation as mark does...!

  • Mark you are great!!!! I am getting my nikon d7000 this week. Can't wait to start shooting!!!!

  • f5.6 and f8 will give you best sharpens. sharpens start to decrease low or higher f numbers from f5.6 and f8 .

  • Could you make an episode only about How to create HDR images since the photoshoot til the post processing?

  • Do this format once a month!

  • more

  • more power mark thanks

  • Great show Mark, thanks for the hard work!

  • want feedback more frequently!!!!!!!!!!

  • best photography channel on youtube by far :D

  • @jameslcr agree... absolutelly the best. This is a real serious teaching and learning channel in an enjoyable way. I mean, DigRevTV is fantastic also but I take that more as a review of products in a very funny way. This Adorama TV shows are absolutelly amazing and pleasing to watch. Cheers.

  • @smoranc yeah love digitalrev but for tutorials no channel beats this :D

  • @jameslcr Apart from DigitalRev!

  • @80M83R yep i love digitalrev but for actual tutorial no one is better than this if there is tell me

  • @jameslcr I think I'd have to agree, it's like Top Gear and Fifth Gear!

  • @80M83R yeah sure is all of them are excellent :D

  • Do not always thrust your meter in you camera.

It can be put off by a lot of different thing.

I would suggest learning what your lcd screen looks like in different conditions or changing the brightness of it.

  • i have a question for episode 41.... can i have eminems? haha. :) great videos.

  • Great show Mark!

  • wow i saw these photos somewhere on this youtube vid

  • 1st.

Looking forward to actually watching this.

Hey Mark, What tips would you have for taking photos in a club/bar in low light? Flash compensation, lens, etc.

    Cheers. Love the channel.

  • @MisterFrosty You'll find it all depends on what you are trying to shoot. Dancing? Sitting? very different. Some generals: when shooting low light, the first question you need to answer is "flash or no flash?" Is flash permitted? or desirable? If yes, are you going to complement the existing light? or completely replace it? (light exclusively with flash) Is this possible? Can you get look you want with the gear you have? (20 studio strobes vs. speedlight) You are working with the light first.

  • @MisterFrosty Sounds like you have an SLR but in regards to flash, consider, is the only flash built into the camera? If so, often no flash will result in a more pleasing image. (no harsh light, stark shadows, etc) BUT remember the trade off that with no flash, you're shutter speed will be much slower. Usually a hard-lit flash picture with a black background will be better than blurry mush! BUT don't be too quick to think you have to choose only one of those options!

  • @MisterFrosty adjust your settings to use both ambient light and flash light (slow down the shutter speed [ambient light], adjust aperture or flash strength [flash light]) A combination can often be found that gives you a good result in a tough setting. I often find using a flash can give me results when otherwise I would walk away with nothing. At a minimum try to bounce the flash (softer AND non-direct). If you don't have that kind of flash - seriously consider it!

  • @MisterFrosty another good reason in this scenario for a good speedlight to go with your SLR? low-light focus assist. There is a red/IR light that will really help your camera autofocus without those incredibly annoying pulsing flashes (also bouncing or non-direct flash light will not result in the dreaded "red-eye") I didn't buy my flash for this reason, but was so impressed with the difference it made.

  • @MisterFrosty why didn't I say get a fast lens first? A flash is much more make or break than the aperture for low-light settings. Also remember this, with flash you can go with a much slower (sometimes) shutter speed since the flash light is stopping/freezing the action. But say you can't use the flash route, then yes, a fast/wide-aperture lens can make a big difference. Given your subject consider the shutter speed (are you hand-holding? [IS will help, but still...], is your subject moving?)

  • @MisterFrosty keep your shutter as fast as possible (it will probably want to be very slow!), and a fast lens may give you enough boost to make it work. Keeping ISO in the mix, remember that, like the hard flash, a noisy image may be better than blurry mush. An increase in noise is often acceptable. It's up to you to decide where that threshold is. Good luck.

  • @jkddaddy Thank you very much for your thorough response. A speedlite is on my list of must haves. I'll move it up on the lost now. Cheers.
