it's slap tonguing. you tongue and at the same time pull your mouth away. not sure how hard you have to tongue, as i'm not a sax player. but jeff coffin explained it to us at a clinic he gave my jazz band

it most likely is a cannonball. next to the mark vi and the super action 80 it's one of the best jazz saxophones there is. lol but for classical ehh not the best.

This cat is Gordon Goodwin, an outstanding tenor player. His songs are full of such intensity, and he started it off with lots of energy and him and the drummer were just feedin' off each other!! Then he took it down a notch and played a nice creative solo. Guess it's all preference.

Guys thats Gordon Goodwin, piano is his main instrument.......they have an amazing sax section, never judge a player till u see em live and know them

Tenor sax is actually his main...he just plays piano in the band :) he has one hell of a PHAT sound...makes me jealous.
