1-1-08, Quebec City in Canada terminated its fluoridation program after 36 years joining Montreal and Vancouver.

Isle of Man announced 12-6-08 that it was abandoning fluoridation after a gov survey showed the public opposed the plan.

Other communities recently rejecting fluoridation include Dryden, Ontario; Littleton, Massachusetts; and Yarmouth, Massachusetts.

The City that started it all 63 years ago in 1945, Grand Rapids, Michigan is now questioning the safety of fluoridation.

I can't see that Grand Rapids can stop fluoridation as it will have world wide repercussions - all good for the Anti-fluoride case.

GEELONG unionists will push State Gov. to include a referendum on fluoridation with ballots for Nov's council elections. Geelong Trades Hall Council voted last year to support fluoridation only with a referendum.Trades Hall now opposed Government after its announcement last week that fluoridation will proceed without a public vote. Industrial workers had a higher level of awareness of the danger of exposure to toxic chemicals such as fluoride. Many workers already get tested for fluoride levels.

The Food Standards Australia New Zealand board will be meeting next week on 19th March 2008 to determine if fluoride will be allowed to be added to bottled water.

A 2004 study of fluoridated and unfluoridated children found " no significant difference" in the decay rates of permanent teeth of children aged between 10 and 15 years.

FSANZ will be deciding on an application from the Australian Beverages Council and if approved, bottled water that is fluoridated will be clearly labeled.

I became aware of this through studying Edward Bernays, who introduced the idea of fluoridation as a solution for Alcoa, the Aluminum company of America, and possibly to bring dentists more business.

Since the mandate for fluoridation by the Labour Party for the WHOLE of Australia a few weeks ago, things have changed and Queenslanders against it are being heard. 21 southwest Victorian doctors recently signed a petition objecting to the fluoridation of Ballarat, Geelong and Warrnambool water supplies. The doctor's petition was mailed to Victoria's chief health officer.

Hello, I chose to distill all of my water at home, I've done that for over a year. I still get bad water at the restraunts but I have cut back on alot of exposure. Do what you can at an early age, It will be well worth it. If you think you need fluoride just use toothpaste and don't swallow.

It's not that simple to distill your own water, Google it and you'll get instructions - much easier to buy it, but a reverse osmosis water filter does the trick. How do you reduce your level? Stop ingesting things that contain fluoride. Trouble is, no-body can tell you just how much fluoride is in whatever you put into your mouth on a daily basis. If you CAN manage to reduce your intake [good luck]it will then take years to eliminate it from your system...if ever. The level ingested is only controlled by your own thirst and hunger.

If you live in a fluoridated area, get your fluoride blood levels tested. My daughter lives in an un-fluoridated town and doesn't use fluoride toothpaste, but because of certain debilitating symtoms had her levels done - results were over the limit for toxicity!!! So where did the high level come from? Food, fruit juices, drinks, and anything that grows in or comes from a fluoridated area. Tea is very high in fluoride content as it also absorbs it from the air.
