Those tracks, as some1 else mentioned a mobile DJ should have, there are a few that I don't have but maybe because I'm not in the UK? As for the PC vs CD/Vinyl all 3 have pros and cons. I'm the Mp3 DJ but you won't see one track under 256kbs. I have CDs as backup where as those using other mediums may have Mp3 as backup. A fellow DJ used to only use CD but he has now got all of his 14,500 tracks on HDD and is slowly starting to rely more on the PC than CDs. Who's to say he is wrong or right?
Oh and for taking PCs around, i only use my laptop to record my gigs, im all up for using CDs... But if i know i cant get any CD players, i'll use PC/Vinyl software. Still love the feel of vinyl
J, i think it would be good for you to do a video on downloading legal music and not using limewire and things. I am sayinf this because there are many ways to download the whole mastermix collection and i think it would be good for you to make a video, telling people to make sure they purchase mastermix off the official website and in stores etc, thanks j,
I Couldn't agree better about the whole PC thing J. They say it's not proper DJing, it is ... and it isn't, really.
The Problem with MIDI Controllers and Timecode is the sheer latcency of some of them, and I think even the best quality latency doesn't compare to some CD Players.
Max, usually latency is down to the sound card. If you're trying to use a standard computer sound card, yes the timing will be poor. Use a sound card with ASIO drivers and the issue goes away!
AC DC You Shook Me All Night Long is a classic here in the U.S. You cant go to a wedding/party/bar and not hear that song.
