I actually prefer this on the piano, and this is pretty much one of the best efforts; but it's rushed for some reason. :S

I loved this when my brother used to play it when he was learning the piano; it was seriously a lovely piece, and much better than any of the Mozart of Beethoven he played for some reason.

The pianist may have technically and intellectually mastered this piece, but it's not in his soul. It's completely devoid of emotion. It's too fast and too stompy. The Fuga lacks legato. He's failing to accent key melodies. All in all, a poor effort, for what my opinion's worth.

I wanted to hear a fast version since I've heard many slow versions. Every note of the Toccata begining was completely ruined by the speed. The fugue sections lost their dolce charm but some transition sections were quite fun at that speed. I would say 30 seconds of the 7 mins but none of the main themes were suitable at that speed. Elegent people just do not run and this is a peace of elegence. But hats off to Marco for a brave performance that I enjoyed listening to and learning from.

Although I might agree with someone here that the Toccata is a bit too fast, especially the beginning, the Fuga is just amazing! The first time I heard the original Fuga, my first thought was, "It should be faster, it would be much better!"

Sono d'accordissimo con te, anche io suono questo pezzo oramai da un annetto (ovviamente la mia tecnica è imparagonabile in quanto suono da poco e sono autodidatta xD) e condivido l'importanza delle pause che creano tensione, inoltre (secondo la mia umilissima opinione) il pezzo esprime meglio suonato lento (piu che altro la fuga) in quanto cosi si trasmette una maggiore "imponenza" e con i bassi piu chiari e concisi; condivido quanto pero qst esecuzione sia tecnicamente perfetta ^_^

The problem is Busoni´s version. There´s too much of Busoni, and too litle Bach...

The interpretation can be defined in one word: VIRTUOSITY (yes, in capitals). Great interpretation by Falossi, but again the problem is the score itself, which is waaaay to centered in virtuosity (far more complex tan the original), blurry and empty.

A good performance, but not incredible, nor amazing. The Toccata is all rushed, so that we loose the expressiveness of silence, or resonance. The Fugue is ok, but somewhat blurred and uneven, fast passages are not clear enough and strong passages are quite harsh instead of profound. But the construction and the idea as a whole are neat.
