the japanese conducted two major airborne drops of there own dutch east indies 1941. and also a fail airborne raid on a airfield the philippines 1944.

the u.s. airborne unit that was drop was the 11th airborne, the Philippines 1944. the 101st did not fight in the pacific. the 17th airborne made the last drop of the war over germany doing operation varsity 1945.

Yes,they did not drop much of them because of the dense jungle and since they were spread out they got lost easily and in the drop they could easily get hanged up in the trees (Many did)

Which airborne units dropped in the Pacific? I didn't know that either. This game is based on fiction though.

Wow didn't know that. I thought all of them were in Europe certainly from what I heard (I like WW2 histories too) and from the mini series Band of Brothers. Thanks for the info.

@Tuxedo12 It is based on a bit of both the US campain is 100% True while the Jap campain is partley true the destruction of the US pacifc Force Z and ABDACOM fleets did happen and the Japanese mini sub in Sydney that did happen but it crashed and was lost discovered in 2007 by divers but the rest of the jap campain is fiction yes.

it was at the very end they were going to participate in operation downfall and that was over germany
