What a lot of comments on this video forget is the psychological addiction opiates induce. I've never even tried Heroin but I have a number of painkillers because I suffer from a bad back. I thought I'd be alright - I was on 8 - 12 dihydrocodiene (Oxycontin in US) a day for months and then stopped abruptly when I went to visit a friend at the other side of the country for 2 weeks. I went thru hell for that first week and had trouble hiding that fact from my hosts. It gets better by the 2nd week
@neil73 The withdrawal doesn't kick in until about day 3 proper. Then you'll get no sleep, an irresistable urge to flap your arms or legs about, tears, pain and runny nose. My only relief was to get stinking drunk - at least the pain went away and I could sleep for a few hours. Then on day 10 I felt normal - absolutely normal, as if a great weight had lifted - I had a lucky escape from opiate addiction - I got out before I fully got in.
