  • Hey durianrider sup brah? You have the testosterone of a 65 year old male hahaha. mens-hormonal-health . com/normal-testosterone-levels.html

  • thyroid function results?? tsh in particular

  • THANKS for the video response! All this blood type diet / paleo stuff I'm reading about is really confusing me. Eat Right 4 Your Type swears I should eat meat since my blood type is O. May I ask what your blood type is? I'm "guessing" it's type A and my brain would say that's why raw vegan is working for you. If it's type O then that would help convince me type O can be vegan.

  • TMI

Apparently this video was made by a vegan who's in urgent need of bifocals. No need to zoom in on the number and item. Tried to follow this inane video and ended up with a massive headache.

    TMI: too much information.

  • is it easy to get a blood test for EFAs? is it reliable?

  • hey Harley, thank you for these transparent blood test videos. I need some advice from you, I'm a pretty busy uni student, what kind of exercise should I do daily? that is best? and for how long?

Keep up the awesome vids. Not many ppl dare posting their blood tests.

  • @marklung you gotta find an activity that you like. Otherwise it will be hard to have the motivation to do it consistently. Try different things, running, cycling, swimming, tennis, weightlifting, whatever you enjoy do it regularly and make it a habit.

  • Your testosterone is low and it shows. You are a girly man. xD

  • @tiatdivad Check out my other blood test vids for magnesium. Yeah its good too. Not surprising with how many freaken bananas I chow!

  • I got my B12 test result today and they were in the normal range where as in my last test B12 was low. All I did was to drink soy or dairy milk with barley malt extract. I uses Saunders brand but the stuff they sell in home brew shops under the Coopers brand is the same stuff. Malt extract is much nicer than a needle in the arm. Who knows if that shit is natural / synthetic . Eat natural be natural ! I am also curious about your amino acids, particularly how you get your methionine ?

  • @aidanaust My methionine levels were a bit too high actually..less is better than more. So I cut back on my nut, seed and durian intake.

Remember ALL olympic athletes take a b12 supp. All the ones Ive trained and talked with anyways.

The body produces its own b12, just read a medical text book. Problems occur when we do not absorb it properly or have excess stress in our lives. Thats why tak'n a b12 sublingual or injections is a good idea in todays world, regardless of diet.

  • @durianriders Some websites say B12 is made by bacteria, when it comes from malt extract no bacteria are involved. Although sometimes I get the B12 from spirulina. malt and spirulina are whole foods, they come as a complete package. Some people are taking a million times RDA of B12 of 1.5 micrograms/ day. As for synthetic B12 , I dont like girls with plastic boobs, so I'll avoid synthetic components in my body too too.

  • you look like a skinny wimp!!! Lift weight and eat meat pussy!!

  • @bigefm Thanks but then if I did weights I would be buff and couldnt run/ride as fast as I want. Im a vegan runnner/cyclist and leave the vegan bodybuilding up to the crew that love doing weights. Google up Robert Cheeke/ Jim Morrison if you want to see vegan muscle.

  • @bigefm Seriously? You sound like a kindergartener in a science lab, buddy! Oh wait, you're a meat eater...

  • I just smashed the day like a watermelon. Sometimes it ends up being a pumpkin,

but this time is was papaya!

    Pumping iron

    Biking

    & having fun doin' it.

  • sweet.. thanks for sharing all your blood info with us. helps people see they are not gonna "die" from a vegan diet :)

  • Great job Harley. Hey, are you doing urine tests as well? What do your protein levels look like? and I missed your b12 - what is the new current level? Are you still taking injections or off them?

  • @MyOwnStickFigure Protein levels are that of a competitive bodybuilder with a globulin of 68.

I will take b12 as long as I continue to suck in exhaust fumes whilst training. I rode 130km today and would have easily smoked a few paks of cigarettes exhaust wise.

  • @durianriders I was taking b12 shots but the body stores it for atleast a year and my levels got to over 2000 which is EXTREMELY over normal range and high so I stopped. I have enough left in my system to last me this next year or so, I am sure! I was taking them every week though, not sure how often you are getting them? I use to get a burst of energy and then just got use to it and didn't get the rush... do you get the rush? ever or still?

  • @MyOwnStickFigure never got the rush but then again, I never had a b12 deficiency. Ive talked with pernicious anemia patients that have b12 deficiencies and they get a rush sometimes. Its like someone that has low blood sugar and you give em some fruit/sugar and they get a 'rush' cos they really needed it. Its like busting going to the toilet and you go and you get a 'rush'.

I dont push my body to the unhealthful extremes that most of society does. So the only rushes I get r from health itself.

  • @durianriders Good answer Harley, health rushes = the finest rushes.

  • I've been raw for 10 weeks now and feel GREAT!

I have been eating steamed veggies though.

I'm a pole-vaulter and I'm going to see how a raw vegan diet improves my performance!

Keep the videos coming durianrider! :D

  • Congrats!

Actually I had my complete blood test after being 2 years vegetarian raw-foodist because I thought I'd probably be low on ranges but surprisely I'm Great!!

Thanks for sharing. Keep up the good work !

  • I'd love to see some replies to the previous comments Harley!

  • Is eating 12 bananas, one orange, two tabelspoons of hemp seeds, and bit of field greens (not chard or kale) everyday a sensible raw vegan diet? It's about 1500 calories daily. I'm 5' 7" and sedentary. I think I've got all bases covered accept for the calcium.

  • @resedoton

Perhaps you should eat all the fruit needed to make you satisfied and remove the "sedentary" out of the equation.

    You´ll get better results.

  • @resedoton 1500cals a day regardless of diet aint enough. adult male orangutans eat around 8500cals a day when they can get it.

  • @MindofaJedi Then why eat anything with calories at all then? :)

Read 'the great starvation experiement' by Dr Ancel Keys and tell me that you actually only lost 6lb in 2 months eating 1200cals a day.. :)

  • @MindofaJedi I guess you need to show us a video where you dominate in your weight class at the local powerlifting comps..

  • Comment removed

  • @resedoton calcium is covered with green, I believe. :)

  • I just tell them about human breast milk and how its the protein ratio as veggies and fruit. Since we all associate babies with "fat" and 'growing' it answers their questions pretty quickly and they appreciate the satisfactory answer.

I think many people do want the truth, its just there is SO much confusion out there.

  • I could watch durianrider recycling all day.

  • do you have a standard reply when people ask how you get your protein? i usually say i don't believe we need much, but that never goes over well. do the blood tests measure protein level?

oh, i love dr klapper! just met the guy in may.

  • @ZeBeFruity i just did a video on that :)

i always tell people that I get it from the same place cows and horses do, plants!

but my longer explination is in a video :)

  • @joyinc30 thats so perfect...cows and horses, apes, giraffes, elephants, hippos.....

  • @ZeBeFruity

    All foods have protein.

Complex animal proteins require a lot of digestive energy in order to extract the amino acids needed to repair tissue. Plants have abundant free form amino acids that are perfect for building muscle. Ask the horse.

Eating animal protein in order to repair muscle, is like buying a house, when you only need a new window. A waste of energy.

  • @DrSeptember so true. raw vegan protein is immediately

    digestable

    thanks

  • @DrSeptember I love that! I may have to snag your quote at the end!

  • @ZeBeFruity Urine tests do. I get them every few months in conjunction with blood work. I have requested info on Harley's, was curious to see if he gets urine tests done too and where his protein levels are.

We need half the amount of protein the standard systems and RDA say we do If they say a person needs 40 grams, for example, they actually only need about 20grams. Malnutrition is under OR over nutrition, it's all about balance.

  • @MyOwnStickFigure hey friend! good to know about urine test showing protein. wanna go to TrueNorth in santa rosa with me for a week? thats where dr klapper works part time. xoxo

  • @ZeBeFruity Hugs, I am all set at SF Natural Med but thank you so much for the thought. Our lovely fruit season is coming to an end. Peaches and other luxurious stone fruits are starting to SMUSH fast, that's the drill - the season is ending soon. Fall and winter will come. How are you with persimmons? I fell in love w.them for the first time last year... can't wait for this year. Persimmon pudding ahead. Anyhow, great to hear from you. Hope healing is all well now and happiness is free!

  • Hey Harley, You should get a bone density scan if you can (and if you want to). Blood serum calcium doesnt reflect the status of your calcium deposits like your bone.

  • what do you do for a living DR? :) training 8 h a day. Amazing!
