  • Thanks for sharing, I start my very first course this weekend woot woot I never dove before :D

  • I once tried to dive in Mauritius but when we went under water I just couldn't breathe through my mouth. I have no idea what that was. I had to go back to the boat and sat there untill the rest came back. I was so dissapointed. When I was trying to breathe I had to cough. It was terrible. I really want to learn it someday.

  • Hey guys love the video. I just got my open water in Spain on holiday!

  • Excellent! I just passed the "Big Test/The last class". I'm getting CERTIFIED next weekend!! WOOT! :)

  • LOVE IT IM GETTING CERTIFIED SOON :)))))))))))

  • does padi explain the effects of deepwater diving and how deep you can go without special air?

  • song

  • how did the girl put the gogles on under water?

  • @senior1mexicano2 by holding the top of the mask and blowing through her nose.

  • i tryed scuba diving with PADI in cornwall afew weeks ago! ;D it was great fun so im going to be doing an open water course hopefully ! :) btw i was just wondering are the courses hard?? :L

awsome diving though keep it up! x

  • One day I am going to try that!

  • Hey there all divers,

Can you please tell me where is the bast or one of the best places to learn scuba diving and become scuba instructor?? Thanks

  • cayman islands, cayman diving school!

  • Thank you Artkidbird, will check it out.

  • hey mate the best place is Cairns Australia.

I did my advanced course there.

    There are 2 good schools

one is pro dive and the other is deep sea divers den (DSDD).

I was with DSDD the crew is really cool.

  • @suleviea In my opinion it is in the Maledives (Helengeli)

just finished my rescue diver course and learning to be a instructor!

  • I had to swim 200 yards and tread for 15 min. THAT was the hardest part. Other than that, Its all fun. Oh, yeah, the skin dive, I had to swim under water for 40 feet after diving straight down 12. The weight belt kinda sucks too during surface exercises.

  • brilliant man. i just done my open water course and passed with flyin colours. lol. im about to do some specialty course then im gonna do my advanced open water. XD cant wait!!

  • WOW

!!! tODAY I just did my first diving and it was awsome!! i'm in love with scuba diving!! but i did the SSI not the padi but some peaople say to me that is exactly the same thing!!

  • Haha i know the feeling! I just passed my scuba diver course last week. And yeah, SSI is the same thing as PADI (they are just fifferent agency's!)

  • is it possible to learn most of what u need to know about PADI scuba diving by a week??? plz someone answer me!!

  • Yes, my Open Water course was only 4 days. Would be a good idea to swot up a bit first with a PADI book, and the course will be a breeze.

  • yeah it's possible but don't rush it. Diving is a dangerous activity and you need to know what to do when things go wrong. I suggest you take time to learn about it all.

  • haha i had my open water in monterey. i saw all of one fish.. and it was friggen freezing. haha but it was okay cuz i had a private lesson:D

  • Great video! If your 18 yrs over, are you allowed to get lessons because mom told me I got to be good swimmer first?

It looks like great experience when I first heard about it!

  • lol im twelve, and i got certified in 2007 when i was eleven, but u have to take a swimming test first..

  • you can get lessons at twelve if you can persuade your mom to tag along and - most likely - pay.

you must be able to do 200 m swim, 10 mins of treading water, 15 metres uw swim and some minor skin diving skills.

    go gadget

  • a person can take padi lessons when hes 10 and above ..and swimming has nothing to do with diving ..trust me ..

  • are you retarded? You have to be 16 to get an OW cert, 10 and younger is called Junior diving. and Yes you need to be able to swim in order to dive.

  • yes you are allowed to get your Ocean Water certification when you are 16 and over. Yeah You have to be a good swimmer in order to dive. When you go diving you are fine with little swimming experience but when things go wrong its good to learn how to swim. Overall I suggest you become a better swimmer

  • hay i got a 86% on my test

  • very nice

  • Great video. Nice to see everyone having fun. Maybe I'll see you guys out on the wrecks this summer. ;^)

  • me loves it ( the video + the song ) ^.^

im going to attend my NAUI dive course in Feb 10. =)

  • (=

well i did mean March 10 lol.

    thankz

    =P

  • You're welcome and thanks for sharing! Let me know how is goes!

  • Excellent video! It shows the pleasures of a diving course.

Bravo. ...so when do they dive the Jodrey! :) Just kidding.

    TomTorrent

  • hehe, I wish! Thanks for watching!!

  • Waw this looks so fun!

    Are there any dangers??

  • Thanks for watching! If you are taught the essentials of scuba diving by trained professionals, scuba diving is a relaxing and wonderful activity. You must always dive with a buddy to avoid any dangers. :)

  • indeed.Ofcourse there are dangers but above all it's fun :P

    (Sorry for my bad English)

  • Love the song! Love the video! Thanks for putting it up!

  • Thanks!!! It was a lot of fun to put together :)

  • Cynthia, this looks so fun!

  • It was a lot of fun! Can't wait to go diving again!!

  • Hi ,, thanks for your reply ,,,

Anyways I passed the swimming pool exam ,, & later it was the sea dive exam (The four dives in the sea ) , anyways the kind of the sea water (Persian gulf) is very salty and the range of the visibility is low ,, the first dive was nightmare and I'm really thinking to quit ,,,, well maybe in the end its not my thing.

  • Hey, sorry to hear that. I was scubadiving in fresh water so it is a bit different. The first dive is always the scariest. It should get better from now on. Good luck!!

  • Looks like fun ! Have you done anymore since?

  • Hi photo2010, I did four open water dives and visited some shipwrecks in Lake Ontario. The Lake Ontario dives were about 60 ft so they were a little scary at first (at one point, you can't see above you or below you) but you keep going and you finally hit bottom. It's scary at first because you don't know what to expect but after calming down, it's actually really nice and relaxing. :)

  • Hey great video! Looks like a lot of fun!

  • Thanks ayon, yes, the course was a blast! And making the video was a lot of fun too!

  • Hi,, nice video ,,, well ,,my first dive with PADI open water course will be in the next Sat in the swimming pool after I passed the whole quizzes & the final exam ,

any suggestions you can give me ,,

  • Hey, sorry to get back to you so late. How did the exam go? I was nervous about my exam too but it's very similar to the practice quizzes that they give throughout the course so there was nothing on the exam that wasn't covered in the course. Also, the open water dives are great. I was a little nervous at first again, but the instructors were really good about it and are there to help you through it so it was a lot of fun!

  • im taking an ACUC course in kingston (im only 15) and they are giving me 20 hours pool ytime 20 hours class time and 4 open water dives to pass is PADI better then ACUC (safty and price wise)

  • I think it's pretty similar. I got 8 weeks of training (2 hours class, 2 hours pool) plus 4 open water dives.. Did you enjoy your course? :)

  • im on my exam and im kinda paniced cuz im not very good at the dive tables and the pool part i dont do well with swiming without the mask they make us do that so we arnt paniced f it happens underwater i hate it hopefully i pass

  • I had a lot of problems with taking off my mask underwater too. The first time I did it, I panicked because my mask was caught in my hair and I got water up my nose and started coughing. It was not fun and I felt uneasy for many times after I did it. My instructor made me practice over and over again until I felt comfortable. With practice, you will feel better about it. One night, I practiced taking it off about 15 times in a row. Good luck with your tests and stay calm and relax :)

  • Just stopping by too say hello! Cool video! Looks like fun! Does tilting your head back clear the water from your mask after putting it back on?

  • Hi TrekkMonday! Yes, you tilt your head back and blow air out of your nose and the air will displace the water in the mask and clear it! :)

  • Great video Chosebin! whose camera was it?

  • Hey pascaweb, I used my new Sanyo Xacti underwater camera. I had previously only tried it in my fish tank and I couldn't really tell how good it was working since the pump was running and the tank is somewhat small. I was really happy to see how good it worked in the pool though. A success! Now, I can't wait for my next underwater project!

  • yo definitely have to come to Colombia and try its submarine caribbean waters! (is not politic paid publicity! jeje) Good camera and good underwater filming!

  • aah, sounds exciting!! caribbean waters.. !! Thanks for your comments!!

  • Thanks stream19com for commenting. :)
