@SNAFU111999 Top in quality and price is the German made Böker brand; Taiwan- and China made Boker Plus offers midrange performance at a really good quality price. In some cases the finish of Böker Plus is as nice as Böker, but the blade steels are midrange. China-made Magnum is cheapest - ok for the price but basic steel. Also, most Magnums are simply bought and rebranded as Magnum, they are not designed by Böker.
Which blade grinds do you like the most and least? Hollow grinds slice well up to where the grind widens and then there's resistance as you force the blade through the material against the grind angle. Also, the edge bevel on hollow grinds are pronounced and create resistance too. Hollow grinds are made easily by machine, so the knife industry produces a lot of marketing hype to push hollow ground knives.
In general I prefer flat grounds such as many Spydercos, but also laguioles and the humble Opinel. I also like the sturdy scandinavian style grind, good for outdoor work. I tend to like hollow ground since as you say they slice well if you don't have to cut deep. Yet the profile is also relatively sturdy.
Difficult to say what I like least: perhaps convex grind as it's less simple to sharpen, but on the other hand convex grind creates a sturdy edge.
hey, zou ik mogen weten waar je die Böker hebt gekocht?
