This is so poorly produced, its retro. I like DeForest Kelly, however here he's not staged properly. Better photography, better make up, more believable scripts and Adam West is a poor narrator.
What's funny is that if you replace the word "mutant" with "machine", the title, and the names of the actors, you'd end up with a very effective trailer for "The Terminator" (which, thanks to that one episode of "Star Trek: Enterprise", I'm in the habit of referring to as "Night of the Killer Androids.")
[The message, learned the hard way by the actors in the 1972 movie "Night of the Lepus," is: Mankind MUST maintain a world that's free of gigantic, murderous rabbits.]
At least it's not as jacked up and pathetic as Squirm amovie about ahem killer earthworms or Frogs which is a creature so damn unscary they don't even scare themselves.
Now that they have remade Pirahna (or however you spell it), I'm waiting for the day they remake this one. It was the rock bottom of DeForest Kelley's career. In fact, he made nothing between this and the first Star Trek movie seven or so years later.
yall are laughing at it now.. i dare yall to watch it with all the lights off in ur basement and make it through the whole movie without getting goosebumps or pissing urself.. do that then say whatever u want about it
oh yea, because when a furry bunny runs up to you, you usually scream, if the fuck shows fangs guess what? you're 14 times bigger than him, stomp on the douche
Fun fact: paul Fix played the doctor in the second pilot of Star Trek (Where No Man Has Gone Before). Maybe He and De Kelley traded stories about The Shat when they weren't dodging giant bunnies.
OMG, I saw this movie YEARS ago as a kid.. never knew the name, but I always remembered these giant rabbits running around eating people.. I'd moved to Phoenix a few years ago, and in Tempe they have these giant bronze rabbit monuments on display.. this movie was the FIRST thing that came to mind.. apparently I'm scarred for life :)..
old time horror movies were strange.... and kind of stupid. if there wasnt an animal that had a horror movie written about it they would find a way to make one... roflmao
I remember seeing this as a child. The acting and the production values weren't too bad for the time. It was a pretty neat little "monster" movie. Were it not for the silly subject matter, this movie would have garnered a lot more respect.
Ha ha ha haaaaaa, Killer Bunnies on the rampage. Monty Python couldn't have done it any better, everything needed for a good evenings entertainment!!!!!

The sad thing is, this wasn't trying to be a comedy spoof, no it was a real attempt at a horror...

Rabbits? Really?
This is like the Monty Python Holy Grail bit with the killer bunny, except a whole movie of that one scene.
What the fuck?

Lets see
1. Gigantic
2. Carnivorous
3. Breeds like Mayflies
4. Fast (To some Extent)
Even though it may not seem like it, Giant Mutant Rabbits are in fact the perfect killing machines. O.e
