  • The guy did his first movie when he was 7 and is now 91 and still acting, being expected in more movies. Three cheers for Mickey.

  • This guy has made a CAREER out of being a has-been. He's TERRIBLE.

  • STILL ADORABLE. Thank you God for Mickey Rooney!

  • Mickey Rooney has been in show business since 1922 when he was in Vaudeville with his parents and his first movie in 1926. Thats 89 years in the business....never stop Mickey....you're the best.

  • He's 90. 90 Years old. He's amazing. Longest career of any actor of all time. That makes him, in my book, as successful as you can be. What a legend. Salut.

  • @oblterate That ending would have been better if you had spelled "salute" right. lol

  • @buffedanimal359 - Well LOL to YOU, buddy boy. Salut is an extremely common expression, often used as a 'toast." It means "to your health."

  • @rem2267 Salud is used as well.

  • i came here casue of full house christmas episode

  • nah the secret is Mickey Rooneys crazy pills.

  • @Firstunfortunate1 Are Mickey Rooney crazy pills in production?

  • Last of the great legends. Probably the last link to the Golden age of Hollywood. Imagine the stories he could tell about the old movie stars. I hope he would write a book about it.

  • He likes to steal other people's scabs, yell at mice with his shirt off and poops in the chimney!

  • @Mistertbones lol, family guy much?

  • Man, look at his WIFE! She looks as though she could eat Mickey for breakfast. In fact, I think she already HAS!!!!!

  • All you people saying he's crazy, go and watch Family Guy. It's completely a joke.

  • "Sometimes I like to steal other people's scabs."

    -Mickey Rooney

  • He's a good actor, but he's in a lot of lame movies. One of his stupidest roles was probably night at the museum. God, his character was so stupid and annoying.

  • lol hes crazy

  • Mickey is still going strong! Good for you Mickey!

  • tbh believe me or not im realted to him :D hes on my family tree

  • The secret to having longet...lungeb...longebibily is uh, to keep breathing.

  • Stupid stupid presenter asking foolish ill researched questions. This man did more for American cinema than some of those other idiot celebs being interviewed.

  • He was in Sunderland,Tyne and Wear. I saw him at the Empire.

  • Me too!! :) He was awesome, as was his wife. Came to our church on Christmas morning. Interesting to hear an American's description of pantomime :P

  • yeah, he apparently outlasted your mother

  • Wow, you have been bashing this guy for almost a year. Why do you hate him so much? You're as pathetic as that RazRez guy who keeps on bashing Rommel after over a year on the same video. I wouldn't be surprised if you were him, you sound a lot like him.

  • legend

  • You're an asshole.

  • You're obviously jealous he became famous all over the world and you're a nothing.

  • amazing. he used to be in silent movies...just imagine all he has been through.

  • "Hey. Hold out you stockings kids."

  • I can't get enough of Mickey Rooney. He's always fun to watch.

  • Sometimes I like to steal other people's scabs!

    Ahhhhh! Ahhhhh!

  • Mickey is no freak. He was acting loooong before you or I was born and obviously you are really young if you really don't know who the man is.

  • My favorite actor in the whole world is Mickey Rooney

  • porchnapp, why should he shut his mouth? And why do you say he is a little troll? The guy's been an icon in movies forever. What's been your claim to fame? Nothing I would assume.

  • Cary Grant said that Mickey Rooney was the best actor.

  • Awe...Mickey is so cute. :)

  • why is the presenter talking over mickey rooney

  • ^^ Moronic Troll who learned about Mickey Rooney from Family Guy

  • Are those 'journalists' standing on a box? They look like giants. They ask such dull questions too. That's Mickey Rooney for goodness' sake. Ask something interesting.

  • i agree, but tell me.. somethin interesting like what?

I supose you'll take your time to think in something interesting, but they are all the time in a rush on the red carpet... i agree, they are both stupid journalists, but its not an easy job

  • ok, im truly just responding to this without taking the time to think:

Who would you love to work with today?

Any big roles that you missed getting?

Do you think musicals will come back?

Any plans to ...i give up. now I'm thinking too much. But those were off the cuff. They're probably just as dull as the questions they asked. Oops

  • we love you mr. rooney!

  • Judy Garland....and Mickey

  • What a sad, ignorant person you are.

  • this man begun acting career back in 1926 :) He have seen all biggest XX centrury cinemas stars...

  • It's funny that someone with the Youtube name 'color me cliche' didn't understand 'different strokes 9's' cliche remark in regards to Mickey's relationship with Judy Garland.

Differentstrokes9 didn't say Mickey and Judy were boyfriend and girlfriend or that Mickey and Judy were brother and sister.

Differentstrokes9 wrote that Mickey was 'like'

a brother or a boyfriend BECAUSE 'they cared for each other so much'.

  • Compared to you everyone is witty. I pointed out that comparing a dear friend to a sibling or romantic interest is cliche. Cliche means

overused and commonplace. The comparison is cliche because it's often used to describe how close two friends can be.

You've got the word 'cliche' in your username and you can't recognize a cliche. Wow. You're witless.

  • He was like judys brother or boyfriend they cared for eachother so much.

  • Learn how to spell "finnish." Learn how to be nicer. Learn that you can temper your grumpiness with a little bit of decency. By the way, what is your definition of a "great" actor? Would love to know. Either way, you are one of the most ridiculously funny people out there with the driest sense of humor, OR, again, a very sick fuck. Take care of yourself.....

  • Comment removed

  • You're weird and creepy and totally retarded. Don't start a sentence with "and," you bone-head. You really deserve the pity of the entire world for being such a tick in the ass of humanity. I apologize to the ticks out there for comparing them to you. I got nothing but love for you, my brother. Does anyone else love you?! You are chicken-shit. Why don't you go and kick Mickey Rooney's ass. He'd probably drop you like a bad habit. Bye.

  • You must be a lonely and miserable person. You are obsolete, not Rooney. You are pathetic to take pleasure in denigrating (know what that means, you ignorant fuck?!) an American treasure. May you find some peace and ease in that tortured soul of yours. You still have hope, I hope.

  • You are calling an 88 year old man - never mind he's a legend - an old prick? You talk about "beating the shit out of him." Are you fucking serious? Really?!! You're also probably the kind of guy who talks about it but doesn't do it him/herself - because you're an impotent, self-hating and unevolved cave-dweller. And, that is an insult to cave-dwellers. You either have a very dry (and inappropriate) sense of humor, OR, you are (one of the) sorriest excuses for a human being out there.

  • Mickey rooney doing panto over here .well done mr rooney

  • he is so small!

  • some of the greatest men of all time were small :P

  • oh i wasn't saying anything about his acting - i think he was/is great! and i myself am heaps short - was just making an observation :D

  • Comment removed

  • Are you that pathetic of a human being to waste time, posting good-for-nothing comments about others, like your some exalted prince? Wake up to reality, you are as worthless as the rest of us - though it is amusing to see how low some minds go to seek attention. Do I smell jealousy, anger, and self-dissatisfaction? Its ok pal, you'll get a few cards at your funeral - good luck until then.

  • You're a rude ageist asshole who needs to shut the fuck up. Mick is in his late 80's,

and STILL WORKING you moron creep.

  • I think Engalnd should knight him. Especially if he is over there performing.

I am sure he has received one, but does anyone know if he indeed received a career acheivement award?

Dont say you need to be English, I think Jack Nicklaus was knighted.

Rooney's real name before he changed it was Joeseph Yule. Not sure what country of origin that is from. I hope its Irish : ).

  • The Queen of England knighted

    Jack Nicklaus ??????????????

  • Well I worked on the production that Mickey and Jan mention in this clip, they are lovely people, and whilst they can make things very difficult, you can't argue with a career that spans eight decades. He may not be the star he was but he's had a career we can only dream of - and the longest - and it's all too easy to just make comments like porchnapp's. It's a shame he has to keep working cos he should just be enjoying retirement - but the guy is a legend, there's no doubt about that!

  • marky69, Growing up Northern Ontario Canada, We had the 25 cent movie weekends. Between greats like Bogart ,Cagney Stooges, There was always Mickey Rooney, In the days of blackNwhite screens Mickeys charictors were always unique and well worth the time to see. I know it sucks to read somone ask oh like he is still alive as if his life ment nothing to others. Yet its true that each generation cares less for the ones that gives them life. I never got to meet that man. I did meet Al Lewis in Canada

  • Yeah, he is such a prick. You are an asshole.

Mickey Rooney: Sings, dances, plays instruments (Drums real well, piano, guitar and banjo) , received a bronze star fighting under Patton in WWII, acts, funny...great sense of humor. One of the great renaissance men of the 20th century and has contributed significantly for our amusement for many many years, and he has to take shit from a loser like you?'

Fuck you, you talentlsss waste of sperm.

  • This guy is one of the best actors of all time!

  • MICKEY! Only thing better would be if Judy Garland were still alive and standing there with him too. Ahhhhhhhhh that'd be lovely.

  • @lave4321 men :)

  • Boys town with Spencer Tracy was a great picture

  • i don't like this old man on Breakfast at Tiffany's... great actor though

  • I completely agree with you ratzkybointhegreat about Mickey Rooney's role in Breakfast At Tiffany's. It was racist and over-the-top ham fisted. A real low point in American cinema. Mickey Rooney is a great actor but you're right about the part he played in Breakfast At Tiffany's.

  • It was pretty funny though

  • Wow, you really reveal some of your latent issues with this comment. Maybe it isn't Mickey sucking on things, eh??

  • REALLY?!

  • I met him and his wife in 2006, I was in the studio when they were on This Morning in the UK - this man is just undescribable. No words could do justice to just how amazing he is. And his wife is a fantastic woman too.

  • stil going strong sir

  • Mickey Rooney is a national treasure! The eighth wonder of the world! It's so great to see that he's still getting the respect and recognition that he deserves. The world is a much brighter place thanks to his talent!

  • Now HE's a LEGEND!!!

That's so cool to see him doing well. :D

  • man he was starring alongside james cagney and spencer tracy in the mid thirties for crying out loud. He's been in films since the mid twenties. his CAREER began well over EIGHTY YEARS AGO

and he's STILL WORKING. in PANTO !

    wow

  • how old iz he I R8 him

  • How old is he?

  • I'm pretty sure that Mickey will be 89 this year! And he still has that sparkle! It must be his passion for acting and performing that has kept him so vibrant all these years. It's astounding to see his list of credits from the 1920s to current date.

  • Mickey Rooney is born on 23 September 1920, in Brooklyn, New York, USA

  • mickey rooney is so awesome!
