  • US people are lucky if they make over 2.9 million they get taxed at 25%, in canada if u make over 126,000 u get taxed 29%

  • Hahaha, wow. THE FREEDOM BUNKER *cue angry music for 14 year olds*. Nice "rant" on "lower Canada" you hamfisted, trendy libertarian cornball. Get off your soapbox because you just sound like an obnoxious parrot. No one ever said that Canada was perfect or that it's good to have sin taxes.

  • wow, you are dumb. the cost of books differs due to the exchange rate... morons

  • $20 for a bottle of vodka? Insane! How much do 6-packs cost there?

  • $50 for alcohol?? WTF! The Canadians accept THAT much tax? I mean, come on. Don't the Canadian people have standards, for crying out loud?

  • What percentage of the original price is the sin tax for alcohol in Canada? Sounds VERY steep.

  • Everything you say may happen....if it does I'll be the first to condem oboma. But do you really think a republican had a shot to win in 08 after what the GOP did. You want smaller gov't, me too...so what the hell was Bush Jr doing the past 8 years. He is not a democrat ya know. You don't want social programs...fine, but bush passed the medicare bill his 1st term not a democrat. Cheney and Rummy lied us into a war and you think there are no consequences for that....there is !!!

  • lol its already happening.. 3 months ago you posted you'd rethink Obama... he's committed to 30,000 troops to Afgahnistan and increasing Taxes on "Sin" $.60-$1.06 increase on Cigarettes.. Troop with draw increased his time from 16 months to 23months If you believe that in 23 months we'll be out thats just as insane as thinking Obama isn't going to ask for 3.7 Trillion dollars for Banking, Communication, and Energy infrastructure.. its happening and happening Fast! nice comment btw thanks

  • You want tax and welfare, go live in Quebec

  • So true. The rest of Canada is bad - Quebec the worst.

  • so exchange rates mean nothing to you genius? lol. A car that is made in the states and costs $10,000 US will cost $12,300 CA dollars. Then you have to add shipping costs, because guess what...the car doesn't just get teleported to Canada. etc.

Again no knowledge of economics yet commenting on economic issues. You need to slow down on the videos and start reading some of those books you are afraid will cost too much.

  • I've taken those into account. Maybe you should do some research before you comment. The majority of the price differences have nothing to do with exchange rates, but the increased tax embedded into the product, and the increased costs of doing business in a socialist state. Even when the exchange rates were 1:1, cars were still thousands more.

  • Really, when?

What are the increased costs associated with doing business in a socialist state? Remember that any you list must be a direct result of socialist policies.

  • It is mainly relative to where the company is based from and per-capita wage among countless other factors. Honestly cars do on average cost more here than in the US - I have personally seen the diff myself (wish U.S. toyota Dealers were allowed to sell to Canadians :( ) To credit you there are things that we as Canadians expect from our government that Americans do not and the money needs to come from somewhere of course. There are also other goods here that cost less than in the U.S.

  • My question for you is - What does Canada, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark etc..all have in common? Answer - They are NOT SOCIALIST COUNTRIES! People will call themselves or label others as Socialist, but have little concept of what it actually is

  • They are all socialist countries, in relation to the United States. Check the Economic Freedom Index. Sweden has a very burdensome income tax rate and a moderate corporate tax rate. Norway has a high income tax rate and a moderate corporate tax rate. In Canada, Total government expenditures, including consumption and transfer payments, are high. And we are getting worse...

  • They are not socialist, they are thriving market economies that enjoy a very high standard of living. Did not Adam Smith even call for a graduated tax scheme that placed emphasis on high income earners. Higher income tax to pay for social programs does not mean you are a Socialist nation. Besides why are you so interested in what goes on in Canada and Europe? Is it in every Americans blood to interfere other peoples affairs?

  • I am not interested in interfering with other countries at all. In fact, I agree with Ron Paul's position that we need a much milder foreign policy, close bases overseas and pull all of our personnel out of those countries. Sovereign nations should make their own decisions without our meddling. What I am concerned about are socialist policies infecting this country and diminishing the breadth of opportunity here.

  • Cond from prev post..If a majority of Americans want to keep their policies that is fine, but dont force them on other people. We here in Canada, Sweden, and the rest of Europe have no interest in American Style capitalism - Leave us alone!. Note that when you dont stick you nose in other peoples business, people tend to respect you more.

  • I agree. I'm only talking about socialist policies infecting the US. If you want an indicator of the type of environment people wish to live in, they always tend to the more free. The US is by far the preferred country to emigrate to. This tells me uncategorically is that most people prefer the US lifestyle and freedom of speech and opportunity that it affords. Just Google "world migration patterns" and read those reports for evidence.

  • I respect your opinion, but what concerns me is your videos seem to encourage hatred and fear, when it isnt warranted. Canadians are not evil people and there is no reason to fear us. Come here to Canada and even go to Europe as I have done a few times. You will indeed find we dont agree with many U.S. policies, but at the same time you will find us welcoming, friendly, and happy overall. You will also see that we are not plotting the destruction of America as some GOPers seem to believe.

  • I'm not saying Canadians or the others countries you speak of are evil at all. As a former Canadian, I was fed 35 years of "Canada is better than every other country, especially America" from the educational system and all of the media. Having recently returned from a trip to Canada, I find Canadian much less friendly and welcoming than Americans - Its a different mindset - one where "grumbling" about an issue seems the right response instead of acting on it.

  • sin tax is a fraud people are getting scammed in Canada and Europe

  • Great Video Chris! Keep EM' Coming!
