See this is why i hate america sometimes -______- japan never gave us this version of the game becasue they wanted to mock us. Didn't they give it to europe though?
@ainmelover321 Nope. I'm English and we tend to get the International Japanese version here, meaning it's in English and has some upgrades over the American release, but not the extra dresspheres. In FFX, for example, Anima's Overdrive hits like 16 times, as opposed to once, and you can fight the Dark Aeons, not to mention you get two Sphere Grids to work with.
if this is japanese why is it her english voice acting ...speaking english words o.O unless the english voice actor sounds exactly like the japanese one
The Psychic Fighter. . . Sounds cool. But after seeing this vid, looks like it can last too long in a fight. It doesn't have many offensive capabilities. However, it can be used as a support. But that's pretty much it.
I wouldn't mind an extended ending to X-2 though, where after Tidus and Yuna get together at the end of the game, all the friends (Wakka, Lu-Lu, Rikku, ect...) go to the Farplane and talk with the fallen (Auron, Braska, Jecht, ect...) That would be okay by me.
fucking japanese idiots just keeping the best version i hate them you perverts good thing we can use Hdloader and get an iso from the internet god bless the internet amen
The Heads effect of "Arcana Force XXI - The World", pronounced "Za Warudo" in Japanese. By sending two monsters you control to the Graveyard during your End Phase, your opponent's next turn is skipped.
They were. But still, FF X-2 was a bit of a let-down. In fact, everything (except for Tactics Advance) since Square went Enix was a major dissapointment (for me, of course).
I loved the Job and Ability system. But let's be fair. In Tactics Advance, both systems made sense. Playing FF X and then trying to relate "Job System" to it just... does not seem normal. Yuna's new attitude in itself is ridiculous. Sure, people mature, but it was overdone and ridiculous. Pain was a shameless and obvious female rip-off of Squall Leonhart, and Spira's new view towards the GIRL who saved their freakin' lives is just... well, badly made.
You're taking the characters out of context. You have to remember how they lived before this point in time. Yuna, for example, was extremely sheltered, and is only just beginning to open up. It's natural to overdo something like that.
I can't get into Paine's story without spoilers, so research it yourself.
I would not use Dresspheres to begin with. At all. Something that intricate, that "powerful"... don't you think that if it made sense to exit, it would've been found much earlier? It's not like it's been 20 freakin' years since Sin. You're right about Yuna, and I have said so myself. She matured, but... still.
About Paine, I know her background story already. And I will repeat. She's a shameless, obvious rip-off of Squall, personality-wise AND physically too.
I would think that dresspheres are one of two things. Either they're a recent invention, which is supported by the fact that Shinra created the Garment Grid, or they're a recently-discovered technology from either Bevelle or Zanarkand.
I admit Paine and Squall had similar circumstances. Both had very, very difficult pasts, and are still trying to get over them during their respective game's storylines. But honestly, if Paine was a rip-off of Squall, why can't she use Renzokuken?
I would agree with the invention theory. I guess letting go of the religion was a big step forth to new research, but we all know Yevon had it's own work in the background. Vegnagun and the Bevelle Temple are two examples.
About Paine, well... It would be just too obvious, wouldn't it? If it makes a difference, their swords (not including the fact that Squall's is a Gunblade) are actually quite similar both in stance use and length. And the "Whatever" catch-phrase? Please.
Squall holds his gunblade forward, like one would a normal sword. Paine has her back turned, holding her sword in the reversed position and downward. Squall swings downward. Paine swings up, overhead, and THEN downward. These are two totally different fighting styles. And besides, swords don't really differ all that much in length in Final Fantasies, sans Genesis Rhapsodos' rapier and Sephiroth's Masamune.
If you have a commonly-used synonym for "whatever," let's hear it.
I agree, totally. Although Cecil is much different from Cloud, in appearence. And Paine's appearence reminds me of Squall. Maybe it's just me though.
Don't take me wrong though, I love the YRP. And the Gulwings. I just think the game should've been much more thought of. MUCH more. Just like some parts of Persona 3 FES -The Answer-, just like Suikoden V, so on. I guess I'm just too picky when it comes to storylines.
I've practiced Kenjutsu for some years. I would believe I would know what are indicatives of fighting styles. There are too many different types of swings to be indicative of one single style, and to that, there are also multiple stances to one single style. Take Iaido as an example. Watch a regular kata, and tell me how many different stances you can spot. There you go.
Well sure. I didn't actually realise I was annoying you. I apologise for that. I thought we were just having a friendly discussion about a videogame. Did I poke a bruise with the "watch a Iaido kata" argument?
Oh well, I guess some people aren't "cut out" (no pun intended) for dicussion. Thanks for the talk anyway. T'was fun.
Simply put, there are things I still have to work through that concern my upbringing. Everyone has their issues, after all, and mine concern much of my...chaotic past.
But don't worry. I will succeed. It's just a matter of time and effort.
I used to do that, but I realized that the future is never certain. As such, I had the power to mold it into whatever I desired. All I need is my will, and a bit of divine intervention.
I'm now looking at the DigiPen College in Washington State. If there's enough funds in financial aid, I can go there for classes. Nintendo recommended this college, and I plan on outclassing Shigeru Miyamoto.
Perhaps Yuna's ideals haven't changed, but you must admit. Judging from the same silliness that we both agree to have had, Yuna is a lot more spontaneous and upbeat than she was in FFX.
Another sequel would just kill the story. If there WAS a spinoff I'd definately WANT to play, would be involving Braska's pilgrimage. Braska really doesn't interest me though and I *hate* Jecht. >_>
But, what else could ever possibly be done from FFX? If not Braska's pilgrimage, there's absolutely nothing you could squeeze out of the story without making it worse than it already is now.
I'd like to see them do something with Zanarkand, that city looked tight as hell but we never actually got to 'see' it.
And I'm very much an obsessed fan-girl when it comes to TidusxYuna, so nearly anything involving that would interest me. (nothing elaborate or 'in the future' though, like marriage, I believe that's certainly better left to the imagination.)
I mean, a full blown, brand new story perhaps wouldn't be the way to go, but random lil' anecdotes would, little things expanded on.
But that's just spinning something that should be left intact. Essencially, that would be no better than FFX-2 to begin with.
I agree with you, I want to see Zanarkand thoroughly very much too, and Tidus and Yuna? Meant to be from the very start, one of the cutest couples in gaming history (my favorite is Squall and Rinoa).
I mean, I immediately think of something like Dissida. If they made a FFX spinoff, it wouldn't necessarily have to be extremely relevant to anything story-wise, or change anything, while still remaining entertaining.
I mean, I'm excited about Dissida just because I get to see Tidus in a videogame again! XD
Yeah, but what u don't realise is that every final fantasy game is what u are describing to all previous final fantasy games xd I mean, if they bothered to do sth that irrelevant to the story, y not make a totally new ff, not that big a difference xd
But what I'd like to see though would be an ffx2 battle system game, but serious, coupling braska's pilgrimage with old zanarkad and a more detailed look at auron's story with old zanarkad and how was tidus raised...add subtle references to what we
True, but it won't be exactly the same. It is a while back. Plus, even if it uses the same scenery, it'd be in a lot better graphics. We'd probably be able to see Sin kill Chappu and Wakka and Lulu's parents. A lot of the story that they talk about in FFX and FFX-2 could thuroughly played through.
Yeah man a prequel would rock. I always thought that in FFX you should get proper flashbacks every now and then where you could play as Auron, Braska and Jecht. They did it so well in FF8 and it fits into FF10 just as well.
FFX-2 is already a great blend of seriousness and frivolity. I think they really found a great balance. A sequel, though it's pointless to speculate, would be amazing using FFX-2's style with a fresh storyline and new places to explore.
a lot of scenes, lol i wonder why a lot are in english and some are in japanese since its only avalible in japan and stuff why can't it be in japanese?
bad thing about the International version is that Cat Nip u cannot remove Berserk, only slow effect. And is hard wen battling a Mega Tonberry or Trema LOL...

And my personal favorite.
"I don't care."

Paine's the only one who has to perform an overhead swing. The men just rush forward and slash.
My personal favorite is, "I hate this dressphere." She says it as a Songstress.

I don't think Yuna's personality/attitude changed *that* much.
What I liked about FFX-2 was that it was obviously trying to be ridiculous/funny and yet still retains alot of character.
If they were to make another sequel/spinoff, I think it'd make the most sense if it were a nice blend of FFX seriousness with X-2 silliness.

already know, tidus and his zanarkand being a dream and all and u would have an interesting new game...
Zafoshin 2 years ago
If anything, I could see Paine, Gippal, whathisface, and the other guy's story as a prequel to FFX-2.

bundled with an auron ject and braska story
floooooooooooooooood 2 years ago
not to be rude but tht would suk
robhatescomments 2 years ago 2
Not necessarily. I don't really like Paine, though. I'd rather have them make a prequel of Final Fantasy X.
Raimundo91 2 years ago
yea tht would be good braskas story but them you will be going to the same places as ffx ffx-2
robhatescomments 2 years ago
True, but it won't be exactly the same. It is a while back. Plus, even if it uses the same scenery, it'd be in a lot better graphics. We'd probably be able to see Sin kill Chappu and Wakka and Lulu's parents. A lot of the story that they talk about in FFX and FFX-2 could thuroughly played through.
Raimundo91 2 years ago
thts true ide buy it but they should use the same sphere grid
robhatescomments 2 years ago
Hm... That'd be weird, though. They didn't have the sphere system back then, and it'd be weird to see Braska, and Auron change jobs.
Raimundo91 2 years ago 2
Yeah man a prequel would rock. I always thought that in FFX you should get proper flashbacks every now and then where you could play as Auron, Braska and Jecht. They did it so well in FF8 and it fits into FF10 just as well.
WoodenPotatoes 2 years ago
Like a Braska/Auron/Jecht view of things?
Kujo999 2 years ago
FFX-2 is already a great blend of seriousness and frivolity. I think they really found a great balance. A sequel, though it's pointless to speculate, would be amazing using FFX-2's style with a fresh storyline and new places to explore.
