My Spykee battery died and I couldn't find a good replacement. I finally found one at spykeebattery . com. The new battery fit perfectly and works great. I can get over 3 hours of use out of it now.
If your battery dies you can buy those nickel wotsit batteries online and in some electronics stores. They are the standard battery in most big rc cars and some rc hovercrafts
@meteofan1x2 My favorite useful thing is home or office surveillance. While I am away, I can operate the robot through the internet, drive around, confirm the cat is still alive, and make sure no one is in the house pilfering through our belongings. Unfortunately, the internet connection for this robot is not reliable so I do not recommend buying this model. But when it works, it gives peace of mind.
@vicmeuk I plan to make a replacement battery pack using some of those higher-capacity batteries you mentioned. The original batteries, even when new, didn't provide for enough play time. C batteries, like you used, are even better!
That was so cool, yup batteries can be a royal pain for sure, as you can recall i had to replace batteries in my Kenwood TH-28A, replaced with LMH Batteries, one shorted and had to be replaced again, now everything is AOK! Good video!!
ok it is ok presentation.

12v! Sling a car battery on with a wifi dongle and use him for the weekly shop?

Just remember as soon as you take apart spykee you lose the warranty and you won't be able to send it back if it breaks

It also acts as a VOIP phone.
