Increasing consumer spending means businesses will hire more workers to keep up with the growth in demand. Businesses have plenty of money, they just don't feel confident in hiring workers because they think that there won't be enough market demand for new products.

And so when the Republicunts propose tax cuts, they're heroes. But when Obama does it, it's obviously just for reelection, huh? (Even though the Stimulus was the largest tax cut in American history)
