The F-35 is going to be taking this planes place. Everything for the pilot will be viewed on their helment viser instead of on a board infront of them. Also the Raptor's computers can make the jet do maneuvers that would kill a human. Great plane, looks insane but unfortunatly too costly and useless atm :s

F22A needs the HMCS lockheed is cashing cows on tax-payers!!! it is a fifth generation fighter but it could only carry 3 types of weapons currently no aim-9x, no amraam-120d, no advance-HARM, and it only recently had a ground attack capabilty, that's really dissapointing!!!

F-35 is crap, if it didn't have its VSTOL, it would be much faster, anyway i reckon the F-22 should have canards and the public don't actually know its real true speed. Anyway the U.S is stuffed, their going down because of the global recession, and all the Asian countries would get richer like japan and china.

Because we don't need them? How many Afghan fighter jets do we need to dogfight? The a-10 is needed for close air support, and we have a list of cheaper, easier to maintain planes that can do any kind of air strikes... What's the point? It's an amazing plane. But in today's modern wars, they aren't needed.

ok get this... nothing comes close to this fighter.... its 5th gen with vectoring engines that make it the best in the world.... it's so manuverable because of it... its faster, its stealth, its more reliable, its better all around! Nothing comes close to the f-22 or the f-35... because of it there they 2 top supreme fighters in the world no arguements

yeah i just love the F22A raptor. But the re is one mistake in what you said in the description, the variable intake compression ramps DO exist, but they are not variable, they are stsic ramps built into the body of the airplane as abulge in the fuselage if you look from insid an engine. it increases its payload capacity.

I hope one day there will be a training fight Eurofighter vs. crappy F-22. So we will see who´s dominant.

I believe in etter cockpit and design. US just talks a lot about "what a technology". Just like Hummer vs. Iltis.

Europe just specifies and solves. US does parallel edges and special paint, we fly low level @ supersonic. In and out.
