The Bronx has since been re-built with a lot of apartment buildings. When you come back you will be very surprised at the difference over the years. It no longer looks like a "war zone". Beat Street was filmed in the South Bronx, not sure where, but it was in the South Bronx that's for sure.

It's in the Bronx and near the elevated trains. Of course that was in 1985 so the Bronx was full of abandoned burnt out bldgs. I wanted to return and see what it looks like now.

Yeah that's all gone, they got rid of that around 98-99 and had row houses and projects and industrial buildings built there, NYC's all diff now, Harlem isn't event that ghetto anymore so,if you come look back, you won't see anything anymore, it's been cleaned. And even though Im glad it's clean, it somewhat a shame, nestalgic (can't spell).
