  • Can someone confirm if solidworks or Autodesk Inventor can do the simulation of a CGI human testing your device?

  • very good

  • wow, that's an insane part/assembly

  • Well.., is there anything this one is better in than the others? I've tried sw, inventor and proe by far and this one has really disappointed me.

  • i want to buy pro engineer 5 , where can i buy it ? can any body help please ?)

  • @shams4x4 DONT BUY JUST GET IT FROM TORRENT AND THE CRACK WORKS FINE

  • OMG!

  • i just now fapped to this

  • im using this program for a robot competition at my school, iv never use a program like this before if someone could give me a hint on how to make a chain i have pre-built links but i cant figure out how to loop say 50 of them around a sprocket i know you can create a line that they follow but i cant figure out how to do it

  • @hackstermaster inventor is great for presentation purposes..it looks great and feel good too

  • OOOHHHHHHHH!!!!!!..i jus jizzed!!

  • the thing about solidworks is that it can run the other programs files and not have issues but they can't run solidworks without issues.

  • the one thing solidworks has over the others is that it can run inventor, autocad, and Pro E files and not have issues but the others can't run solidworks.

  • Wow this is too good to be true :)

  • @Lamboragon yes i know all the softwares. YES ;)

  • pro e solid inventor they are all the same

  • If solid works is so great, why are you checking out a Pro Engineer Demo?????

Face it, they are both as good as each other and it all depends on which system you are used too.

Too many people think that their system is the best just becasue they use it!

  • AH! but will it accept file-names with spaces in them?

  • yea autodesk still rules the drafting and design world!! the "pro E" is not even close to drafting. most of this stuff is imported. SOLIDWORKS IS MUCH, MUCH MORE BETTER. THIS PRO E IS FOR THE LESS EXPERIENCED. because why is so many colleges still teaching autocad 2010 and 2011?? because the programs are better

  • Хорошая штука, буду шаманить

  • each new version is closer to Solidworks...strange!

  • @snapkeck82

Not very strange - considering the far superiour userinterface and consistency of solidworks.. I wish PTC learns a lot more from Solidworks. I work for 2 years now with ProE - and before 7 years with SW.

  • @michielvanh

    yes, I agree..my strange was ironic ;-)

I use both CaD and in 5 years I've not found anything that Pro E does better then Solid or something that only ProE can do..

to be sincere I work faster with Solid even if some ProE option and commands are good..

  • @snapkeck82

I really don't think so, but I must say that Solid Works is now usable, but still the most important difference is that ProE has better performance. If you look at Solid W 2007 it wasn't usable at all, but now it's better. I think we'll stick with ProE though. My guess is that the system you know best is the system you think is best.

  • @christerwiberg

indeed the new versions of solidworks are better...but consider that some months ago I worked on an assembly of 10000 parts with SW 2007 and it wasn't so bad.I was a Pro E teacher at University, before becoming a designer and now I use both with the same level of experience, and appreciate both.

have you heard about Creo?PTC itself is trying to simplify designer work with this new product...because design phase need to be easy.

  • @christerwiberg i have been using solidworks since 2006 and it has always been easy to use. I use solidworks 2010 and its as good if not better than Pro E, i also use inventor and autocad. the saying is once you learn solidworks you can learn any program fast.

  • @snapkeck82 In user interface, yes. But each new version of Solidworks gets features of Pro/E.

  • @snapkeck82 ProE comes with all the tools and apps included. Solid works requires you to download certain apps and tools. While peoples opinions on the two may differ as to which is better i cannot comment on which is better as ive only used solid works briefly.

  • @snapkeck82 Look at real comparison SolidWorks vs. Pro/ENGINEER

  • That's incredibly beautiful ... I can't wait to use this package :D

  • this works just whit native parts?

  • OMG Im drooling!

  • damn... they got some cool new features in this one.

  • amazing!
