He over did it. He jumped too far in order to jump farther but one of his hands missed the wall.
If you look close when he slips he turns in the air on purpose so that he wont slam the camera guy.
I'm amazed that not only did he not break anything but after hitting his back on the wall like that he could have had a hard time breathing, but he turned out alright.
Of course that was David Belle! I'm surprised he didn't just break through the concrete wall.. he must be sooo strong to have been able to get up and smile after all that.
There's a split second after the crash where he pats the camera man on the ground if HE was ok! That's the altruism of Parkour!
He didn't do it on purpose...the whole point of it is that he was trying to do the jump, messed up, and then wanted the cameraman to post it on the internet, to show that he is human, and ANYTHING can happen.
