is medicore quality... movie recording was forced by dlrs "cold war" but i think its not nesesary.. quality suck no optical stabilization af "self behavior" :D and jelly video :D well.. at least you can play with DOF :)

what were your iso, shutter speed, and f stop settings?

@Rednyc1979 Aim to shoot with iso between 100 and 400. Aim to have shutter speed higher than 60. Aperture depending on depth of field you are aiming for.

@ETilusionistas Edited in Premiere and color graded in After Effects. 16gb mem card. I think that records around 40 minutes of HD before finishing. The biggest killer of video with this camera is the battery life. Be sure to be carrying a spare!

@DrAgOnBoY63 Yes the standard kit lens has manual focusing. You can use both Auto and Manual modes when recording video.

@DjDrop1 I have used both AE and Premiere for color adjustment. This video was altered in AE, whereas my despondency was solely in Premiere. They both offer options to edit color, with AE providing more in depth options.

Here I believe I simply edited the curves to try and achieve a kind of cross-processed look.

You can learn the principles for getting the cross processed look in Photoshop here (wwwdot)photographymad(dotcom)­/pages/view/digital-cross-proc­essing-in-photoshop and then use in AE.

when I'm filming, I get somehow not as good quality as for example at 0:28, i mean this "golden" color in the face ! what were your settings ? what was the ambient light ?

@cybudimon Hey. This was just shot purely in sunlight. It was near sun set so the color of the light had changed abit.

I also did abit of colour adjustment in after effects at a later point. Simply messing around with the color curves.

@Salebarale I used the Canon DSLR sequence presets for editing, and then I exported this as WMV at 1080x1920.

@Salebarale Recently I experimented with exporting as H.264. There are HD and SD Youtube presets when exporting using this codec.

I exported this video (watch?v=P2gEj0S-CUo) using the Youtube widescreen H.264 preset and personally think it gave a better end result than this test video.

All the shots were captured under the "Standard" Picture Style in the menu and on "Daylight" white balance.

@simon44 Cheers! Didn't apply a tint directly - simply messed around with the curves for the Red, Green and Blue Channels independently and tweaked contrast levels for this one.
