Hi, I have ATX Power and ATX 12v connectors on the Motherboard but my Power supply does not have ATX 12v connector can i still be able to use that Powersupply. Help

Some new CPUs consume almost zero wattages when the system is first turned on. And this is why some 2.2 spec PSUs might not power up the system. With Spec 2.3 PSUs the 12V CPU load requirement has been reduced to resolve this issue.

Bought a new Corsair model (850w) and its 2.2 but it says on the box that its 80% efficient. I doubt I'll ever pull all 70 amps on the 12v rail.

The EPS 12V Spec is different. Check to see if it's ATX 12V 2.2 or 2.3.

well it is a 80+ psu but it says nothing about being 2.2 or 2.3. it runs my system good it beer then my old psu

Yea, some 2.2 spec PSUs are really efficient. Intel's 2.2 spec only recommends a 75%+ efficiency for the 2.2 spec though. The 2.3 spec however recommends a 80%+ efficiency. If you getting a new PSU get one that's 80 PLUS certified.
