Omg she's adorable!! I used to have a Shiba. His name was King Kimosabe and we just called him Kimo. They're such a highly intelligent breed with SO much energy!! Mine was one serious escape artist. He could open his kennel, his gf's kennel (who was in heat), and he was able to jump our fence too. He was a total handful! :P

erm. your dog is super energetic. i was told by a dog trainer before that a dog that bites its own tail is in need of expending that energy through walks or runs. playing fetch when they are little helps a lot. altho its kinda interesting that 8 weeks she isn't sleeping all the time? to us its cute that she chases/bites her own tails.. but be careful >_> it can turn into a bad situation in the future

@weissweiss yeah, it usually means they're bored if they're chasing their tails. But at this age, it's really hard to expend all that energy that puppies have... especially a shiba inu lol If they're not wreaking havoc, i'm sure it's fine. My dog used to chase his tail and think his paws were possessed by the demon or something too haha but he's now almost 2 and has calmed down a lot :)

The way the puppy is sitting is completely normal for a puppy it DOES not mean she has hip problems... For some puppies with their rapid growth it helps stretch and relax muscles when they do the frog sitting... Unless the puppy exhibits signs of abnormal pain or abnormal walking then it is not a concern...

This way of sitting is called frog sitting. It is extremely common with dogs who have hip dysplasia--a hip disorder that causes extreme pain for the puppy later on in its life. I would get a x-ray at her vet and ask about it. Its not normal for a puppy this young to be sitting like that.
