@rnsaunders - This system is definitely for winter camping. I took a NOLS Backcountry Ski Course in 2006. We were in the Snake River Range in Wyoming. Temperatures dropped to -20 at night. One day it snowed over 3 feet on us. My feet didn't get cold. I LOVED my booties! They were soooo comfortable after wearing tele boots all day.

2 sets of booties and overboots in the backcountry seems way excessive unless you're at high elevation or somewhere truly cold.
