People are commenting on the popping. That sounds to me like a classic exhaust leak, and not a characteristic of the engine. Notice it's when the car is de-accelerating. Cold air going in back through the exhaust and re-igniting. My guess is where the pipes meet the headers. A little popping is not all that abnormal, but that is WAY too much!

Thanks everybody for your comments. This is a old, old video from 1993. In fact thar road doesn't exist today and it was replaced for a 4 lane motorway. A blown exhaust seal was the cause of those ¡ pops ! and ¡ pafs ! that you can hear. It was the first test after a restoration and some minor work was done after this little blast.

Although it Sounds more like a muffler leak to me!. It does not accelerate very hard, and sounds out of tune.Also The motor does not rev much compared to hot Cobras!.
bobbaily, the high vaccum misfire can be removed on an EFI engine by artificially cutting off the injectors below a certain intake manifold pressure. On a carbeurated car, you can't do this. Without catalysts or mufflers it sounds even louder. But it isn't a defect.

Have anyone of you (I realy wish I had one but can't afford it so I'll slag it off) T**ts driven or been in a Cobra? I didn't think so. 'the steering looks sloppy'(geek) 'it's got a blowing exhaust'(dickhead), Hopeless driver(bloody hatchback driving a**hole.
And yes I have been in a real AC cobra as a passenger and it was terrifying but real fun at the same time a mans car, not for hairdressers:-)

And that is not a fucking exhaust leak. The guy has a misfire in high vacuum when he lifts, but that car is not malfunctioning in the slightest. That car sounds like the fucking apocolypse. Wow.

Missfire in vacum sounds like a malfunction to me!.
Although it Sounds more like a muffler leak to me!. It does not accelerate very hard, and sounds out of tune.Also The motor does not rev much compared to hot Cobras!.

bobbaily, the high vaccum misfire can be removed on an EFI engine by artificially cutting off the injectors below a certain intake manifold pressure. On a carbeurated car, you can't do this. Without catalysts or mufflers it sounds even louder. But it isn't a defect.

Exaust leak-my ass, have you guys/girls(pc hat on) never seen a proper car with a proper motor under the hood spit flames when the throttle is shut.You get that popping noise.Anyone thinking the exhaust is blowing is a right plonka.....Just enjoy it

Here is the reality of the situation! You can modify, turbocharge, tweak, have fuel injection, or whatever. The plain truth is that there is no substitute for cubic inches! Once you have them,you can go from there and do as you please and are limited only by your budget and imagination!
