  • @neills You're an idiot. Read some history of the 1st electric cars.

  • united states are greeder and to blaim for this oil spill driving there gas gusseling cars

  • @kerrsboy An oil company analyst was once asked if he was worried about people buying fuel efficient cars and he answered no, not really. He was then asked why, would they not reduce the use of oil and his companies profits? He answered that all studies show that if drivers believe they are getting better fuel economy, they drive more, which means on a per annum basis they consume as much fuel as before. Also, I think you mean greedier, guzzeling and it's United States,we earned the capitals.

  • @kerrsboy Also it's blame

  • I like the suggestion of floating a collector just above the leak. It would have a slight space between the leak and collector to avoid the condensation problem and if need be suction could be applied to insure the oil flows up the recovery hose. I also like Kevin Costners collector idea, they should get something going including Jindals barrier islands, need those permits now!

  • Has BP considered inserting an inflatable bladder down the drilling shaft far enough to be below the sea bed so when inflated it would not rupture the pipe. I would suggest using hydraulic fluid to inflate it as a liquid can not be compressed as air can, it would hold tighter. It would need to be far enough down the tube so that when inflated and oil tried to push it back out there would be enough distance for it to grab tight before going above the sea bed.

  • when will enough be enough it'S time for US the PEOPLE to send a clear message to WASHINGTON that we will not tolerat this NO MORE! Put a stop to offshore drilling NOW or there will not be a tommorrow for our children! ENOUGH

  • here is my two cents, and i hope it make sense.

why dont they insert some kind of metal beam/rod all the way to base of the resorvoir

and fill the rest of the gap space between the original drill hole and the beam/rod with some other material so it is blocked from the resorvoir base itself and not only on the surface of the seabase? maybe im not understanding the circumstance correctly...?

  • using a nuke wouldn't work it would cause fractures and it may be impossible after to cap it

  • Is the Mexican Gulf ‘Deepwater Horizon’ oil leak designed to sabotage, cripple and bankrupt BP? Is it a take over bid by the US government (CIA-Blackwater XE) protected American oil companies to monopolise the global energy industry chain from exploration to retail distribution? Is reality better than fiction?

  • how much money we spend for every gallon of gasoline goes to support terrorism and the entire situation of the "BP" oil rig explosion appears curious at the least. private citizens recieve jail time and humdreds of thousands of fine for allowing only galons of contamination...what get out of jail free card does BP have? they apopear to be talking over tea when our food and actual lives are being contaminated indefinitely...

  • why doesn't der untersea submersible get a blowtorch and spark that hexus oil cloud apart?

  • How about we just have your fat azz momma sit on top of the tube. She can take it... She can take ALL of it!!!!!!

  • we should clog it up with some mexican illegal babies !! :)

  • @hologuitar yeah, lets add some jews and negros there too.

  • @hologuitar if we do that silly rabbit..who will maintain the needs of the wealthy us citizens in hte future

  • Senator Bill Nelson. As a Florida homeowner I'm concerned that this oil leak with affect our hurricane season, by increasing the temperature of the Gulf of Mexico.

Can you please assemble a panel to study that effect? Will the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico raise the gulf's temperature, nearby increasing the chances for tornadoes and hurricanes, and other storms?

  • talking about pollution lawl

  • The device that snips the casing and drill pipe off and then stays closed, in an emergency, is believed to be partially engaged but didn't snip all the way. The pipe kinks are leaking. The leak is abrasive and will erode the partially closed failsafe and the kinks. If the leak is not stopped the leak will grow to be incredibly large. This must be stopped before the thing blows wide open and continues to grow. Top kill, bottom kill, nuke. The clock is ticking.

  • @rollsthepaul so your idea is to nuke the leak? is that what you're saying?

  • @jjacks81 The Russians have nuked out of control wells, five times, with the first in 1966. All of these wells were land based. I'll send you a link by email that does a great job of explaining the situation and what we can expect. I'll send this to anyone who requests it.

  • @rollsthepaul im interested... but wouldn't using a nuke contaminate the water w/ radiation?

  • @jjacks81 The nuke would probably contaminate the water but that would depend where they detonated. If they forced the nuke down one of the two diagonal pipes, they are now drilling to intercept the leaking well pipe, then they might get it deep enough to seal the well but not blow much up to the water in the Gulf. They will try the top kill, which might happen today, with a 60-70% chance of success. The bottom kill from the two diagonal wells is next, if necessary.

  • Still Driving to work on Tuesday morning? (Monday's a holiday in Canada)

  • stupid BP fuckers

  • There is rhythm to the spewing, much like the beatings of a heart. The heart of the earth is beating, and its blood oozes out of a punctured artery...

  • that must be some pressure...so when are they going to put a valve in it? didn't they already have a valve somewhere?

so much oil wasted...I could have use it to drive cross country...wasteful people.

  • The public see it as pollution the corporatist see it as money lost.

  • How about a really big roll of duck tape..

  • This is a comment, not a response. " If man doesn't become humbled by this and admit his limitations, then he is doomed. Forget going to the Moon and Mars. We must get our obvious priorities straight. EARTH ! and GOD !

    HARE KRSNA

  • | Sweet. 5 Minutes of smoke pouring out of something... Best video on YouTube..

  • So it's taken a month and this thing still isn't in control. BP said they could handle a much bigger disaster which is obviously BS. How can you run an oil company and not have a plan in place in case when something goes wrong? Which you know for a fact is definitely going to happen at some point. Where are their contingency plans? BP should be banned from working in or around US territorial waters. Sorry BP you suck at what you do.

  • So who caused this again? The Jews?

  • Yup, looks like there's a leak all right.

  • We're all gonna die...

  • Sort of goes without saying that this, without a doubt, will become the worst man-made disaster in history.

  • @jonb5150 wtf no its not!

  • @jonb5150 worse than what we dropped on Japan in the 1940s?

  • @xtole That was diff..they deserved it...

  • @jonb5150 worse than chernobyl?

  • @KrptoSodium Although no one is going to come out mutated say good bye to all sea life and birds in the Gulf and Louissiana.

  • @neills Oil companies make that near impossible by buying pattens for alternative fuels and means of powering car MORON!!!!

  • This will not only kill all the sea life within hundreds of miles, it will change the weather on this planet, because it will change the temperature of the ocean. If it gets in the gulf stream, it will end up in Europe...It is going to cost a LOT more than money...

  • @vanth77 Kill all the sea life? Europe? Get a clue. None of this oil has ended up anywhere. Not even a single tar ball in Key West can be attributed to this. You better stay indoors and cover your windows with aluminum foil. This crude could become airborne and destroy the earth. Just like the pig flu.

  • Look, that is the dollar bills coming out of our pockets in the near future at the pumps and to heat our home in the winter!! Yaaa-Hooooo!! PARTY!!

  • @amules2003 That's so true. BP will find a way to pass the clean-up and lost revenue on to the consumer. The other oil companies will raise their prices because they can claim they were somehow affected. And we will happily pay whatever they want and do nothing about it.

  • cant they stuff something there to stop it leaking

  • @simmyfake That's what I said to your mom when she got her period

  • @jaimerangelwashere is that all you care about? money, shit all that oil is screwing up the world we live in, and all ppl like you can worry about is the money, stop living your life off material

  • @mvptony22 quit being such a hippy.

  • @jaimerangelwashere quit being such a dumbass

  • This disgusts me in so many ways. Why is it mankind must destroy this beautiful earth all for the love of money. This is the only earth we have.

  • @Chigirlism One word PROFIT

  • seriously how hard is it to plug this thing up? If the people who have the resources really wanted to plug this thing they would have done it already.

  • Look at all that MONEY!

  • They need to take Russia's advise that was given over 2 weeks ago and nuke the F'n thing! GOD, it's simple!

  • @beckyinma Yeah use a fucking nuke were dynamite or C4 is all that is required your a fucking moron. Now instead of oil to worry about its nuclear fallout that we have to worry about.

  • It's all obama's fault, he pulled the plug to make it look like Bush did it.

  • a world without Superman...

  • This is never going to stop or end. Our world is going to die.

  • ..one more month and they dont need to digg in the deep sea- its a plan to get it more easy out - very cool- close the golf fast its to late- thanx BP

  • What is on the right of the screen (metal)? Ist that what the platform was attached to?

  • The white stuff is natural gas.

  • "Trust me", they said - BP, Bush, Obama, Cheney, ...

  • @ms3dguy Obama inherited the problems from Bush, Cheney, BP...

  • @Onetazien didnt you understand when you saw the video of US coast guard threatening arrest to the press for filming the gulf - and saying "its bps rules" didn't you get it that Democrats or republicans... its the same thing... just a face. we are in much bigger trouble than you get.

  • @Onetazien LOL this is somehow Bush/Cheney's fault. Obama has let BP screw this thing up for a month without calling in the Navy or Army Corps of Engineers to fix this once and for all.

  • An absolute waste of precious natural resources and environment!

  • Thanks Bill

  • It was done on purpose, to increases oil prices. U think they give a shit about the environment.

  • in the North Carolina mountains ,we mine tons upon tons of granite. lets just bury the thing,we could mash it flat. BP want's to cap that well head ,for future use.

  • This planet belongs to all of us. The United States Governement should be sued for renting out the ocean to this monster. They knew the risks when they did it. What about our property values? What about our health? What about the extinction of the already threatened species struggling to survive in that cesspool? No one should have the power to rent out the ocean, or the sun, or the moon ------------- THEY BELONG TO ALL OF US!

    NO MORE OFFSHORE DRILLING !

  • @Sehoy1 Well, I generally agree whit you, but We All need the oil, unfortunately. So, Offshore drilling is necessary god/bad thing.

  • @XeroVMK 85% of our nation's coral reefs are in the waters off South Florida. Have you ever been out there? We don't need to drill offshore. Personally, if we have to make a toilet out of the ocean in order to drive our cars, I'd rather not stick around. Where would you want to drive to? All that makes life worthwhile, aside from loved ones, is the natural beauty of our planet. We screw that up and we're just parasites on a filthy, dying space rock.

  • @Sehoy1 Start walkiing everywhere. Back up your talk. If stop driving it would ease our dependence on oil.

  • @Sehoy1 very right. not only would we rather not stick around, we won't be able to. without oceans, we all die.

  • @Sehoy1 The earth does not belong to us, we belong to the earth.

  • @RayFranklin Amen to that!

  • @Sehoy1

    I agree with you 100%!

  • @Sehoy1 You are an idiot. where would you suggest we drill for oil then if not offshore? if you really care so much stop using electricity and oil and see how much that helps.

  • so I see two flares, one big on the left, and one smaller plume on the right. Correct? Anw what is the white stuff mixed with the black? Is there not a genious out there somewhere who has any ideas how to stop this? Would BP listen or are they busy covering their sorry asses? This is an event too hard to relate to. Our beautiful Gulf is gone.

  • Killed by the Gulf oil leak: 156 sea turtles, 12 dolphins & 23 birds

  • After about one minute we get the general idea.

  • Jesus HELP US. That flow looks like it could fill the valdez up in a day...And they say 5,000 barls or 200,000 gals? YEA RIGHT...Looks like 200,000 gal an HOUR to me...I think that pipe is over 20" in diameter so one could only imagine how much oil that is...

  • Just let the oil run its course-eventually it will run out. I mean the Gulf of Mexico is already damaged beyond any repair so what difference does it make. Instead drill more oil-DRILL HERE! DRILL NOW! May as well because the wildlife is all going to die and the fish is already poisoned.

  • I rated this I like but it is the actual quality that shows the lies of the Biggest Polluter on Earth bp!

I HATE WHAT THEY HAVE DONE WITH NO ACTUAL PREPARATION TO RESPOND TO THE CRIME THEY HAVE COMMITTED AGAINST US AND MOTHER EARTH!

  • I sincerely hope this disaster forces BP into bankruptcy.

BP will be tapping their bank accounts dry for all the justified law suits that will rain upon their oil empire soon. Let the lawyers rain hell upon them and their executives personally.

  • As someone who grew up on the gulf coast, this is as terrible as any terrorist could hope to accomplish with a bomb. The destruction of an entire ecosystem that an extremely large segment of our country depends on and loves. I wish this would bankrupt all three companies involved.

  • hate seeing all that great oil go to waste

  • @marspolarlander you're an idiot

  • @bigcombe you need to wake up - do you really think industry can run on windmills?

  • @marspolarlander Lets see I would think so when about 50 turbines can power a city.

  • Say goodbye to the Gulf! Good job America, for screwing up chunk of our beautiful country...

  • @lglanzer you said it ... the only pleasure I can find is watching them wiggle and squirm at all the money they're losing ... all the money they have yet to lose and how this will ultimately bring about an age that realizes it never needed oil in the first place.
