  • the spotter misses his mark? ajajjjjajaj

  • DDDDDDDDDDDAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMNNNNNNNNNNN!

  • the first one, is he f--king the wall?

  • lol at blaming the spotter

  • Hey meningzegger, I'll Find you.

  • Hey meningzegger, Did I mention, Fuck off and Die!

  • Hey meningzegger, You are a FAGGOT.

  • Hey meningzegger, Why do you touch your dog like that?

  • Spotter is really a moron. Acting like a moron he just like dropped the wheight on him. Always stand ready and move very slowly with that much wheight. Lifter is also a moron trying to be a hero in the gym.

  • better stick with the weight you can lift dumbass.

  • Well, I guess thats why

    *puts on glasses

They call it a suicide grip

    YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

  • In these kind of situations spotter is helpless, that lifter didn't even try to lift,

i am using thumbless grip too, and never had any kind of problems whit it ;)

  • lesson learned for both people.

I may be bashing the spotter a bit, but don't go around picking random people from the gym for a clean spot. (they may have known eachother, but I'm just saying.)

  • own fault. sad pussy for blaming the spotter

  • suicide by bodybuilding

  • And that's why you dont use a thumbless grip... And why the spotter should be over the bar with a cross grip, always ready to catch it while lifting heavy.

  • Comment removed

  • when that hit him i screamed ouch.

  • Haha fuckin maggot

  • All you people talking shit about this guy and how he can't lift and his grip and whatever else, go to the original video from "danimal24" and read the description retards.

  • @AlexRisheh no, i wont, hes fucking retarded and should be thankful hes not dead

  • why do i look up gym accidents before i go to the gym?

  • suicide grip fail... not spotter's fault.

  • Ah, poor guy. That's why I do calisthenics instead. Pulls ups, chin ups, push ups, dips, one arm pull ups, dead lifts, muscle ups. No weights. Much better, accidents are way fewer than at a gym.

  • I count 295 also its his fault. Suicide grip without his Can-O-Man

  • OUCH!!!

  • holy fuck

  • I bet the spotter was thinking the same as the rest of us. "Serves your own right!"

  • Has anyone considered that it's both their faults? The spotter should have known that a shrimp like that couldn't lift that kind of weight and kept his hands under the bar waiting for him to fail at the lift. And they bench guy (R.I.P) should have learned to get tight when benching as opposed to treating the bench like a drunk-ass dance move. Let his legacy be to teach others to bench what you actually can or you could get yourself killed.

  • @Lorksening the fuck you talking about. Alot of people lift way more then they look they could.

  • @mrmag1cc I've seen far more small guys either lifting with shit form and failing or getting hurt than I've seen actually lifting with good form and succeeding at the lift. When people try to lift what they are not capable of with bad form it can be very dangerous. You shouldn't encourage otherwise by attacking my statement opposing what this person attempted.

  • @Lorksening Enough people are able to bench properly with a suicide grip. Just because this stupid fuck doesnt know what hes doing doesnt mean everyone is.

  • @mrmag1cc agreed.

  • @Lorksening then our differences are settles:)

  • If you use a suicide grip you have to put you wrists in a 90º angle, like you are doing push-ups..otherwise these thing happen

    EMBE

  • It's called suicide grip for a reason

  • O MIERDA DUELE..

  • auch.

  • ya people are right here

there is nothing the spotter could have done

that slid off his hands and in that position unless the spotter him self was a powerlifter would not have stoped it.

  • there goes his throat.

  • FUCK

  • Sure, blame the spotter. Not the arrogant retard who thinks he's too much of a man to grip the barbell properly.

  • looks like that really fucked him up...

  • if he used a full grip, do you really think his thumb would have stopped the bar from falling?

  • @thegamexxx1234 yes it would have. because it wasnt dat he couldnt hold the weight up its dat his wrist in dat position couldnt. if uve ever done a bench press u wouldnt ask such a question

  • @slkslkbkbk you think that a tiny joint such as a thumb can hold back 300+ pounds!?, go try it and tell me how it went. If the bar rolls forward there is nothing you can do about it.

  • @thegamexxx1234 hav u ever benched b4?

  • If one can not control the negative on his first rep,he dont need a spotter,he need a reality check

  • Benching without thumbs isn't an idiot move when done right. When benching MORE than 300 lbs, your forearms grow tired after a set or two with the thumbs. Removing the thumbs removes the pressure on the forearms, and helps max out.

It's called a suicide grip, and it's only for people who know what they're doing. Don't judge the grip, judge the idiot.

  • Did he die?

  • suicide grip...benchers fault

  • If you go to the actual guy's channel who uploaded this, aka the one lifting in the video, he says it was NOT the spotters fault. He blamed himself.

  • that made me jump

  • typical dickhead, blaming the spotter for his injury and lack of lift.

Either A- Remove the thumbless grip and grip the bar properly

or B- Learn how to do thumbless grip proberly (false grip) e.g. look up 'dave tate false grip'

    Do either of those...

In any case you have NO right to blame the spotter, YOUR fault, YOUR problem. Spotter has nothing to do with it. So long as you keep blaming the spotter you'll always be a Pussy. Face up to your own problem.

  • @001kursk I don't see him blaming the spotter, all I see is a dipshit trying to be tough.

  • @xxhalo100

well i dunno about you but, i think the part were he says "but the spotter misses his mark" was pretty clear of him blaming the spotter...but yea anyhow too right about the dipshit

  • @001kursk I'm pretty sure the guy saying that wasn't the guy lifting the weight.

  • @xxhalo100

whether or not this was "the" exact guy, (how the hell are you supposed to know...fuck people always argue the semantics aha) the person who made this video, obviously has some connection to the guy who hurt himself, therefore somewhere down the line it would be a pretty safe bet to say that this guy (injured one) blamed the spotter... but maybe the video creator made that claim all by himself...you never know...but i think the former would be far more likely the case.

  • @001kursk Haha that's bs, more than likely the guy is just a random commentator. You shouldn't go all out with cutting down someone down when more than likely it's bs. Just cut down about blaming the spotter in that kind of situation and not cut down the actual guy lifting for being a "pussy".

  • @xxhalo100

well seeing as i assume neither of us know the guy, we cannot be sure if it was himself doing a self commentary, a friend or a random, but seeing as he uses the guys name i think it would be a safe bet to say he is likely a friend. an i think just about everyone who watched this would agree that it wouldnt be out of place to say the injured lifter blamed the spotter. so as a result im stick of people blaming external factors for their own problems in the gym, it solves nothing.

  • @001kursk The guy saying that does not mean the guy lifting the weights says it. If you disagree then whatever, it can't be proven so let's drop it.

  • Not the spotters fault but the spotter sucked as well!

  • the only people who should use a grip on a bench press without thumbs... is people without thumbs

  • why doesn't he curl without thumbs too

  • HOLY SHIT!

  • Shitty pull ups, shitty grip.

  • How the hell was that the spotters fault? Its a miracle this didn't happen before with that grip..

  • I wanna stop watching these, it's just that I can't! XD

  • Thumbs up to people that look at YouTube while sitting on the toliet!

  • nice grip

  • suicide grip strikes again. id feel sorry for this guy but hes a fucking moron, so, no.

  • I think the weight lifter missed it not the spotter

  • wasnt the spotters fault, he should have wrapped his thumbs lol

  • just askin for trouble with thumb off bar

  • He doesn't need thumbs

  • the suicide grip makes it easier to bench but is it worth it?

  • You have thumbs..use them!

  • I never understood why people that benched would not use their thumbs for that extra little bit of safety.

  • its not the spotters fault its the lifter's fault.using a stupid grip with his 1 rep max

  • and not a single fuck was given that day

  • thumbs up if you think he should use a thumb grip

  • OOOOOOOHHHHHH!!!!!!!

  • Yeah that suicide grip ends careers

  • hahaha why is he not using his thumb to grab around the bar with? lmfao

  • Apes you can't use thier thumbs is how I make money.

  • thumbs up if you froze and looked at the screen after it fell on him

  • Seriously dude!! If god gave u thumbs , use them once in a while!

  • maybe he should have had his thumbs up. That is why you shouldn't use a false grip. hate to sound rude, but he was kind of asking for that.

  • can u say "dumb assssss" lol

  • i agree with you rainingblood tht is why its called that if he used his thumbs it never would have happened

  • "Monkey grip" is not so smart to do....

  • NOT the spotters fault.

  • he has a slight boner just saying

  • Bye Bye collar bones :*(

  • i have big hands and i would never risk my thumbs being tucked in like that

  • guys with small hands should not be doing that grip.

  • thumbs up if u grabed ur neck after seeing this

  • LOL. IDIOT.

  • Not spotters fault

  • stupid nigger

  • not the fucking spotters fault

  • how is it the spotters fault? people who bench without thumbs deserve to have the barbell crush them back into reality.

  • @mmfm426 It is the spotters fault.

Anyone who would 1) agree to spot someone with a pure pronated grip and 2) Do it knowing that this was going to be a very heavy lift, should have flat out refused to spot him unless he put the thumb around the bar.

  • auch!! seguro se le rompio mas de algun hueso... pobre

  • Damn nigga! you never let the weights like that! Shit!

  • WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE SHOW?

  • dddaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaammmmmnnnn

  • Why anyone would grip like that i will never get.

  • There's nothing wrong with the suicide grip if you are experienced. I've been using that grip for over 8 years and never dropped it, even with over 400lbs on the bar. It's an inexperienced lifter showing off for the camera. Also its not the spotters fault, theres no way in hell that spotter is going to catch 300lbs from dropping on that guys face.

  • bahaha- not spotters fault at all...the lifter just inexperienced

  • i done a suicide grip once. it was after a bi and tri work out, and i was doing close grip to finish it out, droped right out my hands mid way up, glad i was so tried i was only doing 115lbs lol

  • Thats like wiping your ass with one square of toilet paper. You know your fingers gonna fall through and gonna go into your asshole lol. We were born with thumbs for a reason jackass lol.

  • Why do people film themselves working out??

  • @cgord31 i did it when i finally started curling 100lbs but the reason i did that was to one show my kids and inspire them to stay healthy not to post on youtube lol

  • i benching with a friend and he used the thumbless grip where do they get that idead from

  • @MrStocktonian the thumbless grip is supposingly supposed to help develop more pushing power, but choosing power over safety is very foolish. besides there are people who benchpress more then twice their weight with good form and using thumb grip.

  • There are still people who don't put the thumb around the barbell well it sucks.

  • Had to ask.. did he die?

  • fucking moron spotter

  • Not the spotters fault. Dumbass on the bench decided to go with a death grip

  • viewer 258000 :D

  • Ridiculous grip, plus the spotter should have had his hands in a dead lift position around the bar ready to follow it down with his rep but then again I'm sure that tool waived him off not wanting his help.

  • Shows he is a muscle Mary and loves to show off, he got what he deserved the fag

  • what kind of a dumbshit uses a suicide grip for anything besides squatting

  • It's not the fucking spotters fault you fucking losers. This moron should have never tried to lift that much to begin with..You're all a bunch of fat fuck scumbags.

  • @TUI518 haha yeeeer

  • A spot is good when you can't lift it, they give you that extra 1 - 10 lbs of force needed, or more. If you just decide to drop the entire weight in a split second, there is not much you can do as a spotter. It's not the spotters fault here, it's grip negligence.

  • That's what thumbs are for...

  • oh fuck, it hurts to watch

  • it's not scary..it's stupid..

  • Douchebags are more interesting than this tool.

  • That dude looks like a total douchebag lol

  • the only mistake the spotter made was spotting someone who cant grip the bar correctly and not correcting them.

  • What a dumb, useless shit brick of a spotter.

  • thats why i only do dumbell bench press.

  • scary indeed. Shitty form to the max. I'm terrified of going to the gym now.

  • yes this grip is so stupid :D why do they use them? cause they are too? ^^

  • @LukeLambo It is stupid to use this grip on maxes :P people use it to minimize the strain on their wrists and prevent injury. But as you can see, unless you have the weight you are using under controle DON'T use this grip xD

  • Stupid

  • is he dead?

  • i dont know who to blame, haha. either way your gonna feel that in the morning.

  • Thumbs up if u jumped alittel when the weight smashed him:0

  • thumbs up if Dan doesn't know how to use his thumbs

  • the spotter failed to catch the weight, bad spotter!!!

  • ouch

  • not at all the spotters fault.

  • Why do dumb asses always make a big deal of hitting their max, or "maxing out". It doesn't have to be dangerous.

  • darwin grip award. grats buddy

  • The spotter didn't do anything wrong he did his job but the idiot wasnt holding the bar well

  • fukin dumbass

  • Not gonna lie. That actually hurt me a little.

  • That's not the spotter at all! He's using the suicide grip with sweaty hands.

  • That outta give him heart attack

  • but the spotter misses----WTF

  • im sure the spotter is a convicted felon and a drug dealer, and doesnt pay child support. Drinks beer all day and smokes weed, has no job either. I wouldnt be surprised if hes a gang member either. Why would anyone ask this guy for a spot?

  • They don't call it suicide grip for nothing. :)

  • Spotters fault theres no way a white man could do anything wrong.

  • its called "suicide grip" for a reason lol

  • @rainingblood6969rain Lolol hodgetwins. He just snapped all sortas shit up in his neck.

  • I think the weight is to heavy

  • that hurts just watching it

  • Why do people use that grip

  • omg..the spotter is doing everything right just the guy lifting is totally stupid..300 pound and the suicide grip? no good idea

  • He was using a suicidr grip... And now you know why it's called that :b

  • @spudnutsncoffee all am sayin is I press more that 200lbs n am in total control of the bar,i'm more comfortable with the suicide grip why u comin back me anyways was giving my opinion weather u think right or wrong.

  • The spotter did not miss his mark. This is yet another punk kid trying to mimic a bad grip style he sees being used by big men doing stupid things in gyms. This grip gets more people injured than you can imagine. Never use a false grip people.

  • 200pounds is heavy to you what a pussy suicide grip is better on bench than normal if u arent a complete idiot like this guy

  • what an idiot why do u just let go

  • The grips not the problem guys it's the amount of weight the idiot is tryin to bench,I use the same grip and feel in total control of the bar

  • @Lithgow88 FALSE. It's his grip dude.. You're asking for trouble when lifting heavy while using that hand grip position. . . I never use that hand grip position when lifting 200+lbs.

  • @Lithgow88 You feel in total control until it slips. You use this grip because you think you are cool when you use it. Either that, or you are stupid. In either case, use your thumbs.

  • ''Dan always uses a spotter!'' the only issue being that this so called 'spotter' isnt actually doing much of anything, and its called the suicide grip for a reason.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That guy is retarded

  • @LorenStevens Yeah.........

  • This is why I always lift with gloves >.> no need to worry about the grip :o

  • crap does he die
