  • Thank you for this! I stumbled across this clip and I purchased the dvd soon after. Jack Shepherd does an amazing job as Renfield! he has a kind of manic expressiveness that reminds me a lot of David Tennant.

  • thx for posting this :)...Judi Bowker is very beautiful as Mina, I like her even more than Winona Ryder's Mina (although she was pretty too)...

  • For some reason, this is a favorite Renfield scene of mine.

  • what the name of this movie ??

what Rated is this movie too ?

  • You can buy video online from eBay 'Count Dracula' BBC

  • can you upload the rest of the movie please?

  • Sorry, I don't upload whole films.

  • @webothlovesoup "Sorry I dont upload whole films"???Then why bother in the first place!!

  • @1965ismaninblack First of all the chances of getting your account cancelled increase if you upload a whole film.

I only upload clips if I feel they are significant in some way. I uploaded this purely to demonstrate the characterisation of Renfield.

  • If I did not knowed the Dracula's films, I would bet he would break her neck.

  • i'd hav e to say i love Jack Shepherd AND Dweight Fryes potreyals i cant pick they are bothe splended portreayls in thier own right

  • That's Andromeda from Clash of the Titans! (The incomparanbly sweet and pretty Judi Bowker, as member heguer said.)

  • The best Renfield of them all.

  • He does give a good performance as Renfield but I love Dwight Frye, so I'm afraid he will always get my vote.

  • Dwight Frye did a very creative job in his Renfield but Lugosi's Dracula is far from the novel character and I think the same about the character played by Frye. But I imagine that you have very good reasons to give him your vote. You certainly love this story as I do.

  • Closest to the novel does not necessarily equal best. Honestly I don't really care all that much if a movie changes the structure or even a few characters in the novel. As long as it captures the spirit properly.

  • Certainly. You are right absolutely. And always a movie based on a novel is a rewrite from words to words, images and sounds. The closer thing to the novel is the novel, so you can say "guys, if you love the novel so much you just read it and don´t play atention to the movies". But sometimes when you love a novel so much you want to be that with sound and image! I love the movies anyway...

  • Sure what a crazy last breath hehe

  • What pretty is Mina! Her interpreter, the actress Judi Bowker, is the one of the most lovely and beautiful actreesses of the world.

  • poor renfield

    :[

he was a good man, just a little wacky.

  • Excellent Renfield here.
