  • Max derate allowed is 25%. Therefore minimum amount of power used is 75%, not "50 to 60".

  • Take off power on a modern airliner is about 50 to 60 percent of full power, not full power.

  • Damn, that GE90 is obnoxious :D

  • what airline is this?

  • alll jet people are gay

  • gay

  • OMG! pplz herer only wanting 2 kn d uploader! hehehe.. Well nyc vid.

  • This is BA ... Can't be Air India or Jet Airways because both the pilots are expats.

  • @dombarca97 No ' engineers' on 777 #LOL

  • Hey Dude Nice Video But I have a doubt...When On Landing Pilot Switches the engine as reverse thurst! Wat happens exactly there? does the fan of engine starts rotating anti-clockwise? or just they do to block the air?

  • just before they roll to take off..the voice says "V1" what does that mean?

  • @cropsidile V1 is the critical engine failure recognition speed or takeoff decision speed. It is the decision speed nominated by the pilot which satisfies all safety rules, and above which the takeoff will continue even if an engine fails.[9] The speed will vary between aircraft types and also due to aircraft weight, runway length, wing flap setting, engine thrust used, runway surface contamination and other factors. google- v speeds.

  • i have a question.. whats with the whole thing in almost all the videos i see about take offs.. they will get clearance from the tower.. and they only half power for like 10 seconds and then they full power it for the rest of take-off? what is that?

  • @IOWNA11 Hello. I asked my captain today and he gave the following explanation. "When the engines are taken from idle they sometimes take different lengths of time to spool up. Without doing it gradually and especially in wet weather, the aircraft would veer off the runway and could potentially crash. Hence the spooling up slowly to let both engines get to the same amount of thrust together, then pushed to take off power". Hope this helps

  • @kenster1979 or you can just said that engines need to calibrate trust power

  • @IOWNA11 i am a commercial pilot the reason we wait about 10 seconds is because we have to wait for the engines to power up and to also make sure the runway is clear.......but im only a first officer so i dont make the decisions....other pilots may tell tell you other stories but thats what i been taught if you want want any other info on planes please email me on mattmotley@bigpond.com

  • Another reason other the allowing both engines to spool together is that TOGA can only be pressed when the thrust levers are advanced forwards.

Once the thrust levers are advanced forwards and TOGA pressed, the autothrust takes over and advances the thrust levers forward automatically to takeoff thrust.

Take off thrust is a value computed in the FMC which gives a precise climb thrust value (N1 percentage)

  • Howd they allow you to get into the cockpit and film??

  • @srivasvivaz I work for the airline

  • a young capt.

  • @astoniz Maybe not as young as you think, but BA have 20 year olds as Captains on there Airbus fleet. Age is just a number it's all about your flying hours

  • stunning sounds of d engine

  • the wonders of the world record holding GE engines :) great video! he reached 80 knots before the runway numbers! well it is equipped with world record holding engines... awesomeee!!

  • Those engines sound like the GE engines used on the -300ER and the -200LR.

  • this is a Rolls Royce TRENT 800 turbine

  • it's like music for me!!! thx for sharing

  • engine sounds so cool!..hw did u get the chance to get into the cockpit?

  • @hanniel04 its one of the cabin crews filming

  • Basically Boeing is like the Toyota of all airplanes eh?

  • @AirCanadaA55555A Toyota? Toyota? Toyota wishes it could build as fine an aircraft as a 777! I'm certain the Japanese provide major sub-assemblies, though...

  • @beeroosterm Yeah that to but think about it, Airbus is like Honda!

  • @AirCanadaA55555A Toyota? Toyota? Toyota wishes it could build as fine an aircraft as a 777! I'm certain the Japanese provide major sub-assemblies, though

  • This Is The British Airways ?

  • what happnd to rotate and v2 callouts ?

  • Comment removed

  • how did you get to sit in the cockpit? you have to be a crew member don't you becuase they don't allow passengers in there not since 9/11

  • i simply cant stand this horrible runway !!!!!!!

  • GE90 eh?

  • the people of Mumbai, ow me money

  • Lovely! Bombay in the rains can be a pain. I enjoyed the video! Thank you

  • No sound

  • What does the computer say just before take-off (1.04min)? B1?

  • @Narrowescape it says V1 Rotate

  • @Narrowescape V1 ... decision speed !

  • @Narrowescape call was "V1"...then "Rotate" a split second later.

  • Wow! I'm not trying to hate on the captain, but he does look pretty young.

  • that captain looks really young ..... in many airlines they prefer old captains to pilot the 777 .... so that they can have the most flying hrs and experience ... LUV BA <3

  • I Love The General Electric GE90-85B, Sounds Powerful. This Is A British Airways Boeing 777-200ER I Believe.

  • @AirCanadaA55555A

These are Rolls Royce Trent engines, not GE90s. The GE90s are only on the 777-300ER and 777-200LR aircraft. BA acctually dont have any of the formentioned aircraft. Its these RR Trent engines that have this kind of low frequency hummm when at TO thrust. Love it more than the GE90 High pitched noise. Having sed that gotta love the GE90 Start up and stabilising spool, you can really tell how beastly the engines are. Suprised they dont stick GE90s on an A380.

  • @puttyno1 Incorrect, the GE90 is on 5/6 different types of Boeing 777 excluding the Boeing 777-300 Standard, look on the specifications and look at its history and British Airways was the launch customer for the GE90, got it? And if this was a Trent 800, it would have that annoying spool and then gargle but the GE90 does not, get your facts right, fast.

  • @AirCanadaA55555A

True, I stand corrected. These engines are exclusive to the 300ER and 200LR but are options on the other 3 aircraft. I stand corrected BA use a combination of GE and RR Trent engines. Apologies!

  • @puttyno1 Well, atleast yournot that yankees guy who argued with the uploader saying its an MD-80 when its clearly a Boeing 777.

  • @AirCanadaA55555A hahaha lol that is an error and a half! The headphones that these pilots are using Sennheiser HD25s are so common around the world not just for aviation, but for DJing, monitoring. Its amazing! I just noticed cos I have a pair. These obvi have microphone attatchments but they are highly modifiable!!

  • @puttyno1 Hmmm, interesting, finally something new I could learn about this aircraft.

  • cool

  • Hooray we're leaving this shithole says the pilot!!

  • @Aussiephil99 you aussies are worser shitholes. werent your forefathers criminals fucked off from Britain? learn your own history before saying anything to others you cum sucking aussie>

  • @addi138 ............Ask nearly anyone in the world where they'd rather live Perth, Western Australia............or Mumbai. I think we all know the answer to that. Yes Australia was a penal colony...and 200 years later look at it. India with 1000s of years history is stil a third world toilet!!!!

  • @Aussiephil99 ...Gotta agree, I'd rather live in Australia mate but still India had an economy that did not self-destruct during the recession. Look at the population density of India, transfer that figure over to Australia and you guyz would be in the same situation. Also imagine if Australia had a corrupt goverment... that needs to be factored in....

  • @Aussiephil99 ... I love my home country but with any country there are huge flaws which need rectifying by a government with integrity... cant say that about India unfortunately. Also if it was such a third world toilet, why do so many of you Aussies come and visit our country? I'm not here to hate on you bud but seriously this is what sparks racial hatred and is currently happening in Australia right now... be the better man and have some respect for every country

  • @puttyno1....racial hatred in Australia!!!.....don't believe everything you read in Indian newpapers. Australia is one of the most multi-cultural countries in the world.....and whilst not perfect generally people are fairly tolerant of other races. We have no caste system in Austrlia................and yes it does still exist in India...particularly in some areas..................don't tell me that isn't prejudice

  • wholy, those engines are awesome!

  • go baby go

  • Its called parallax error thats why it looks like he's on centre line.

  • nice video...i luv mumbai!!

    which airline is it???

  • man their both young

  • why is the guy filming seemed to be lined up with the center line?

  • @marshalcraft no man if the plane is centred the view is like this for everyone

if u sit in the captain seat it will be like u r on the centre same as with the FO

  • Are you a pilot

  • whooo, coool!

  • The pilot looks in his late 20's early 30's

  • V1 Rotate

  • Emirates?

  • howcome? a 777 is typical boeing...

  • wow!!!!!!!!! this is impressive

  • indeed, very fast take off wow~

  • that was a fast take off nice

  • I love Mumbai airport and its continue flowing traffic.

  • Was this a 777-300ER?

  • 777-200ER,BA does not have 77W as of now. They have ordered recently though..

  • O BTW, revelation1361 is natbrain's secondary account. Sorry, I was logged in as revelation1361 but didn't notice.

  • thanks for sharing this marvellous video!! i could watch it over and over for hours- the sound of these engines are just fantastically thrilling!! are these the pratt and whitney or rolls-royce ones?

  • These are GE engines. By the deep sound of the spool up, I think these are GE90-115B engines

  • thanks for the precision! :)

  • My pleasure. But I apologize for getting too specific on the type of GE90 engine. All 777 models are available in GE90, PW4000, or Trent engines. However the GE90 engines aren't necessarily 90-115B engines. The GE90 models all sound the same. But I'm sure about the GE90 part. Sorry.

  • man, that is the largest cockpit i've ever seen. So much legroom.

By the way abhintel, the camera guy was probably another pilot or the flight engineer in the jumpseat

  • Which airline is that?

  • BA THE WORLDS SHITTIEST AIRLINE

  • I bet you never flew British AIrways Lol

  • Actually i flew to CYYZ feb2007 on a BA 777-200ER & flew home on the BA 777-200ER that crash landed on 27L G-YMMM NEVER AGAIN WILL I FLY WITH BA

  • Hello... How did enter inside the cockpit... Which airlines...?

  • it is boring

  • it is boeing :)

  • LOL!

  • Boeing is not an airline you moron.

  • airline and airliner are different things. you're the moron

  • We should let them know concrete and tar have been invented and work well. That 777 needs new tires now for sure.

  • God, what a crap runway surface.

  • Want to know what else is rough? The arch between my legs...which your gonna be sucking on bitch!

  • damn the runway is so rough

  • Perchè il secondo pilota al momento della rotazione "taglia" il motore numero 4 ? Forse è un esaminatore con l'allievo alla sua sinistra?

Why the co-pilot "cuts-off" nr. 4 engine during the rotation? Maybe he's an examiner with his pupil on the left?

  • Engine 4?

This bird is a twin holer 772ER

    It only has two engines.

The guy was probably adjusting either the weather radar or radio stack to change to the departure frequency.

    :)

  • i what be a 777 pilot

  • I am For Emirates

  • best airliner you mean,

  • type ethiopian cockpit view and, enjoy my vidio nice clip love it!

  • is the 2 pilots nt saposed to push trottle togeter?

  • Different airlines different SOPs, usually if so its only until V1.

  • Hi. Nice Video. Hows the runway quality at Mumbai? Also, how about the Mumbai airport Layout? Cheers!

  • how did u get into the cockpit????

  • which runway was it... nyways it looked like 27 as u passed the ocean real quick

  • Very nice video, with great sounds. How did you manage to get in the cockpit to take this?

  • Stunning sound! Which airline is this?

  • Thanks

    It's BA
