There are so many frames in the document, that I cannot stop it on the "pop-up". To me, it appears to be an insect landing on the outside of the glass through which the webcam takes its pictures. Who knows... maybe a sea serpent?
@Starfishbuturflyy I looked at the original images, which are 320 X 240 pixels, so it is hard to tell, but it has a shadow and jumps out of the water. A sea lion, perhaps?
@88edwardo - I do not know the official height of the tsunami, but It was probably not more than a few feet. Over the years, the beach at Port Orford has experienced significant shoaling, thus leaving a very shallow gradient to the deeper waters offshore. Additionally, the beach is protected by the Port Orford Headlands, thus requiring the tsunami to curl around the point and then fill back in from the bay in the picture. Still, the wave action that day eroded sand away from the beach.
