This movie is great. I rode CC in the 70's and early 80's. I forgot how tough it was to ride there. Hills to the max! Nuking hot temps. Dust and rocks up the wahzoo. Thanks for the memories. Siezed my bike out in the middle of nowhere once. That was a fun day!!!
Clear creek is not schedualed to re-open next year. The BLM's temp closure will be up next year, but they will decide what to do based on comments written to them from the people. If you have been to any of the meeting for clear creek, you would know the BLM and EPA have no intention of opening clear creek ever again.
Based on the results of the Environmental Protection Agencys CCMA Asbestos Exposure and Human Health Risk Assessment, the Bureau of Land Management Hollister Field Office has issued a "Temporary Closure", effective May 1, 2008, to all forms of entry and public use for approximately 31,000 acres of public lands in the Clear Creek Management Area (CCMA) to protect public health and safety.
how many clutches do you go through riding that stuff? come to west australia we have tighter tracks and sweeping bends that you can nail at all gears p.s virgin tracks not where you have no choice but to follow other peoples ruts!
even better than stony way better.Still pissed CC is closed. Oh very nice vid CC had some tech trails too along with hill climbs, even thou they fence of the play ground
NOthing Liberal about the people closing Clear Creek...these are the same people telling us there is one religion, set of rules or path to conservation. There needs to be flexibility and the current solution for CLear Creek is plain boneheaded. Send more money to BRC or Salinas Ramblers to fight the good fight!
that was tight, i can relate to that video cause we used ride the creek as many times as we would every year, now we have some LIBERAL idiots taking away our freedom to ride such a bad ass spot....makes me crazy!
Im 13 and me and my dad used to ride the creek all the time no the only real good riding we have any more is twice the distace like pipi valley or goerge town ohv its rediculous. I just think its all bs MAKES ME CRAZZY TO!
Damn I miss Clear Creek. The riding there was as challenging as you could want it. Mud, rocks, hills, scree, slime and dust. Good times.

Man, that area ain't for the faint of heart! Looks tough as hell and only for advance riders. It will tear a bike apart even if the rider is good.

CC is scheduled to reopen next season. They will shut down more area, of course, but will also improve the roads and camping areas.
