I found this informative, but seriously people. Sperm are not conscious beings. Comparing them to people is absurd. They are cells. Intricate and complicated, yes. Cognizant of their existence, no.

Its purpose is to give people an idea of how unlikely it is that any one of us should be here, given the extraordinarily low chances that the right sperm should be there to fertilize the right egg, and create the embryo that would eventually become you or I. Moreover, scaling it up and making it dramatic helps people to understand the process.
