Man try to concentrate on low reps, good sleep 8-9 hours a day, and food high in protein, carbs, calories. Overall you have good motivation.Congratulations.
Bahahahaha! Riiiiiiiiight (in my Dr. Evil voice). You should probably just focus on uploading more videos of yourself lip-synching "Headstrong" with your boyfriend and leave these kinds of videos to the grown-ups.
There's nothing wrong with it at all, if you can do it, especially at that age then you should be proud of yourself. Some little troll came on my video and tried to 1 up me by spouting off a load of complete bullshit about how much he can lift, and equates that bullshit number to how old he is like age is some sort of advantage in how much someone can lift. I didn't make this video to get in a pissing contest about how much more than me someone CLAIMS to be able to lift.
@airsoftfreak18 who the fuck does 309? you obviously arent at any kind of competing level so i dont see why you would even bother with adding single pound weights to your lift lmao. atleast sound believable and throw out a random multiple of 5. i.e. 305, 310, 315.dumbass
That was most excellent !!! YOU! off the streets, get in the gym and lift this ! At least he manned up and put a proper description and knows that yeah, it was heavy, yeah, he was new to weight lifting, and yeah, that wasn't proper form... PROPS!
ouuuu... lucky u didnt snap some shit up man. i hope ur using better form now. deadlifts can easily cause major back injuries when u dont use good form
I'm just starting out and im just finishing highschool and i weigh 145 and i deadlift 280 but im trying to get on our school wall and you need to do 350 any suggestions?
@StUpIdKiD354 find your weak link, when you are going for a new PR do you have problems getting the bar off the floor, or it goes up but you have trouble getting it past the knees, or it goes even higher but you have trouble locking out. After you found the weak link do assistance exercises for it ex, rack pulls for locking out, or deficits for getting the bar off the floor or past the knees etc
those shorter plates make it diffiult to start in the right position and they end up throwing off the whole movement. just get two olympic size weights to raise the bar up then you can use any smaller diameter weights with them
bad form, gotta keep your back straight, i deadlift 440 and one day i did it in that bad form and yeah it wasnt a good day for me, that was when i first started out i thought id go for the big weight but realised i couldnt and it put me out of the gym for a week, now i can lift that because i had patience, i trained hard, and i worked on my form so i wouldnt hurt myself again, squats r much funnertho look into that
I don't understand how so many people can deadlift and squat such heavy weights with horrible form. I deadlift 215 and when I tried 220 a few weeks ago, I failed the fifth rep and felt a twinge in my lower back, and it was sore for a week. This is mind boggling.
This was almost two years ago, with 250 pounds, and I didn't hurt myself whatsoever. About three months ago I was taking one of the seats out of my car so I could clean the upholstery.....when I leaned in and lifted the seat (maybe 50 lbs) about an inch off the floor I immediately dropped it and fell over in pain of my lower back. I was bed ridden and couldn't move or walk for 3 days....was on crutches for another two days after, and didn't recover fully for almost three weeks.
@boochieboy814 I know, isn't life fucked up like that? This guy I knew said that he was a recreational powerlifter and lifted heavy weight all the time. Then one day as he was getting up out of a lazy boy recliner chair, he threw out his back. How cruel.
@boochieboy814 It's cumulative damage from deadlifting with bad form. Deadlift and squat is something you need to serious about. Lower the weight if you can't maintain the form.
@Tyler5794 Yeah! what the fuck! I'm the same way man! I just don't get it!! I got a buddy who deadlifts with 315 with just atrocious form, yet no injury what so ever. Yet if I slap 2 plates on and go for it I'll get a sore back, and I'm a form Nazi when it comes to lower back.
@nupersoob I think it's just how you're built. I can DL 350 with any kind of form I want to, but I can't bench more than 175. Some people are just better built for those kind of movements.
if you train with a curved back you'll strengthen your muscles so that they get used to the motion, theres a professional Konstantin Konstantivos who deadlifts huge weights with that form and never had an injury--body just has to get used to it, but in general your more prone to injury with that form
@Tyler5794 It's just a weird thing. I saw this guy 290 do 600 deadlift using nothing but back, and it didn't phase him at all. Just the way God makes some people.
@Tyler5794 maybe you should eat more and train harder do deadlifts every week at a weight you can manage. as soon as you feel comfortable with that throw on an extra 5 or 10 plbs. strength doesnt come with a shitty diet. some people are just naturally strong every ones genetics are different, some have to work harder than others to achieve their goal.
I'm currently doing Starting Strength and increasing 5 pounds every workout if I feel that I can. Since I'm only 17 though and live with my mom my diet's kind of at her mercy and since "healthy food is expensive" I'm reduced to cereal and sandwiches being the healthiest things I eat. I try what I can though.
@Tyler5794 Some people just don't get injured as easily. I'm not a very experienced deadlifter, only been deadlifting for about 2 months. Currently 135 bodyweight and can deadlift 275 w/ belt, my form isn't amazing cuz my back rounds but I have yet to sustain an injury, been working on lighter weight to better my form though :P.
@krzyxbne Place knees behind toes, drop hips and butt, position the lower body if you were to do number 2 in the woods, keep arms straight, shins to the bar, straight/tight back posture, look up NOT at the weight, imagine your lifting a sofa and your chin is resting on the arm of it, lift for a count of 4, hold for 2, lower for a count of 5, pretend that you live in an apartment in you don't want to strike=clang the weight to wake up the first floor tenants..haHa
Crazy how everyones' metabolism's different, and hormone levels and such to allow or restrict mass gains. LIFT LIFT PUKE. EAT EAT EAT EAT SLEEP. maxxed my deads at 500lbs and I'm around 190lbs. Took about 3 months now and I started maxxing around 270lbs at about 180lbs with history of powerlifting but no deadlift history. for hardgainers tons of squats, WHOLE MILK, gallon a day on top of lots of food. Check out my upload of a 455lb 1RM deadlift.
I don't care how much weight you lift, or if your form breaks on your one rep max. But, for the love of God, please don't work out in jeans. I'll let being shirtless pass because you appear to be in a private establishment.
@tymcd07 Whoa! No, his knees were definitely bent, so they were at least RDL's, not stiff-legged DLs. Anyway, even with stiff-legged you're supposed to keep your back controlled (maybe not super straight or concaved).
That being said, the guy said himself that he was doing it wrong. Hopefully he's gotten pretty far by now?
Good to see people deadlifting, but please don't go heavy with that insane amount of lower back rounding! Wouldn't want an injury! Just looking out for a fellow dead lifter :P
Hey man great job, just want to tell you im a hard gainer to and if you want to gain weight i'll really tell you a good technique. But first, you probly hear this one all the time: eat as much as you can. It should work but you probly do this and try to stuff yourself like me with minimal results. WELL TRY DRINKING AS MUCH MILK AS YOU CAN. A gallon a day if you can. I cant stress to you enough to try it. I just started a while back and i can already see results. Good luck to you.
really good for your weight bro! i have a video of me cleaning 250 if you want to check it out (i also weigh 185 tho haha) your form could have been ALOT better but im sure you have improved, nice lift man dont listen to these haters
for a second i was like holy crap this is a heavy curl, iv'e gotta start reading titles of video's...
good effort though man for (125pds) 56.25kg BW - head up - chest out - back streight - arse down - and drive from your legs! you'l be lifting heavier in know time. keep it up
Hey man, I don't want to down what you're doing. You look like you really enjoy lifting and want to get into shape. However, I would recommend that you stop lifting with your shirt off in these videos and posing for the camera, etc. If you wanna engage in this youtube documentary of your weightlifting endeavors, just let the weights you lift in the videos speak for you, brother.

Hey man, I don't want to down what you're doing. You look like you really enjoy lifting and want to get into shape. However, I would recommend that you stop lifting with your shirt off in these videos and posing for the camera, etc. If you wanna engage in this youtube documentary of your weightlifting endeavors, just let the weights you lift in the videos speak for you, brother.

your not a hard gainer. just dont eat enough to gain, only eating enough to maintain.
