I'm not sure if any sentries you kill in the Virtuous mission are part of the Sorrow boss fight, but to be on the safe side I don't (try not to) kill anyone.

The hour long Sorrow boss "fight" I experienced first time through from all the guards I had slaughtered was enough to make me do it the stealthy way next time around.

You don't need The Sorrow's camo to hold up The End...I held up & stamina-killed The End during my first playthough (on normal difficulty though...maybe you need it for higher difficulties)

Snake Eater > Subsistence, seriously Subsistence makes the game BEYOND easy. Kojima designed Snake Eater for the focus camera, with Subsistence the whole game changes...

True, but getting The Sorrow's camo uniform is quite helpful, and (in the next playthrough) allows you to hold up The End, if you don't kill him before you battle him.

You can kill yourself at the The Sorrow part, that will make you defeat him too.

God I love the feeling you get when your alerted when your trying to be sneaky. It almost feels as if your actually there. It scares the crap out of me every time. The reason you got caught a lot is because you forget the basics of CQC my friend. Didn't The Boss tell you to remember in the beginning?

wc10k. When was the last time you played snake eater before making this walkthrough?I dont want to be annoying or anything but getting through the virtuous mission is very standard and easy to get through with no alerts.

You know you can hold L1 to lock on in 3rd person and shoot while running? Might be helpful with that assault rifle. Also, it would be easier to unload on him while lining up a headshot, that way no matter what, if it even goes over his head for only a second, it'll be a headshot. Plus there's also death by blood loss.

It's the suppressor that weakens a little bit every time you shoot. You get about 20 or so shots per suppressor.

mgs 3 doesnt have he radar like mgs 2 with the triangle representing the enemies line of sight because enemies seeing you in this game depends on your camo

actually there is, but it drains battery and has to recharge after a while. it lasts a while and the charging is pretty fast, but you can't use support items at the same time. *just beat MGS3 again*

Yes. The controls are pretty much the same as MGS2 but with some slight improvements.

It doesn't have a radar in the same sense as the first few games but they do give you items to check your surroundings, and the map is in the survival viewer.

lol i beated game using only CQC (except bosses) but u still should use more CQC it makes gameplay look much better
