I'm puzzled. We Uzbeks respect Jelaliddin-Manguberdi - the crowned prince of Khorezm, Temur Malik - the governor of Khojand and Sultan Kharezm Muhammadshah as our ancestors and historic heroes. Indeed these last Khrazemshahs were Muslim Turks i.e. ancestors of modern Uzbeks. But then Kazkahs think Chingizkhan is their ancestor, too. Chingizkhan was the enemy of Msulim and urban turks and our forefathers fought him back. Even Amir Temur centuries drew back Mongols to their steppes.
