Adhan of the Umayyad Mosque in Damascus, Syria

They are saying this Adhan to follow the sunnah of Yazeed (Lanat Ullah).

You know at that time 1400 years ago when Family members of Imam Hussain were there as the prisoners in front of Yazeed after the battle of Karbala. Sayeda Pak Zainab (S.A) make a speech over there against the Yazeed (Lanti). Imam Zain Ul Abideen was also there as a Prisoner. When Yazeed saw that audience is going out of control after the speech of Pak Bibi Zainab (S.A) speech (Khutaba).

Such a beautiful tradition that might have been conserved for about 13 centuries. Until recently, the Grand Mosque of Damascus needed a big number of persons giving the Adhan together so that they be heard in a long distance.

Strange to see some people calling it Bidah when they don't even know what the word "bidah" in Islam means. Maybe it's just because they hate Syria and Damascus, but that's ok, the Quran says to such people "Die with your grudge!"

ummm, i have visited the umayyad mosque in march 2007 and i was wondering why do they do adhan like that......and i found out that it is a cruel tradition from the time of yazeed ibne muawiya (L), when Syeda Zainab (sa) was speaking against yazeed and his evil forefathers in the defence of islam and Imam Hussain (as). yazeed ordered the adhan to be done by several people so that the other people do not hear the truth that Syeda Zainab was speaking

No, solja, "Elah" is the Armaic version of "Allah" (in Arabic) and "Eloah" (in Hebrew) which is "God," not Ali.  It would be haraam for Isa (AS) to pray to Ali (AS).

prophet (saw) prayed for yazid's father muawiya so of abu sufyan and told him what would happen he wasnt going to marry but his mother kept on asking, however muawiyaa was a sahaba ans i would not like to say anything about him because the prophet prayed for him however what yazid dis his father must not get disrespected or slandered for that reason
