9-13-10 I had a Crystal Clear vid of KURT in the Wheel Chair & the entire BREED song & someone lifted ...My Nirvana Vids...& some Foo Fighters. I'm finding my Nirvana vids on VEVO with a bunch of CRAP ADS!
Many thanks to '910913'....Is that your Under the Radar 'Covert Black Ops' CODE??? hahaha=D I'm going to 'Sub' you and add as friends.
Is that true that little boy died of a Terminal Illness shortly after this Concert?(Posted at FuzztoneProductions...where KURT is backstage)
@carrywet in one interview, dave was talking about getting onstage and "playing to the people" - kurt added, "kinda like the bette midler and 'the rose' vibe."
1st.. the fat guy was from 'Hollywood Rock' concert that NIRVANA play. 2nd.. Kurt on the wheelchair was from 'Reading Festival 1992'. Both taken from Live! Tonight! Sold Out! ;)=
If you wanna put labels on music, I don't really like doing it but... I'd say most of Nirvana's Bleach album is more like what the media wants us to think grunge is. In general though their music was much closer to pop punk with an attitude I think. Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Mudhoney, Nirvana were all thrown in to one genre of music together but are completely different. Probably just cos they all came out of the Seatlle area and to create a new collective movement puts a bandwagon in motion
@wgradcliffe Yes, but at least, they were all into the same "grunge" scene as a society, I mean, Cobain had friends in Mudhoney, Soundgarden's bassist Ben Shepard played with NIrvana and some Mudhoney and Pearl Jam members played together as Green River. I mean, musically they might be different but all this people knew each other, I mean, belonged to the same "society"
nirvana sounds NOTHING like alice in chains. alice in chains is strictly newer metal. Nirvana were like the pixies with a pop punk sound. People are so naive about the "grunge scene" the grunge scene was put on america from the media. Nirvana didn't walk around saying, oh we're a grunge band, they considered themselves punk. Dont fall into what the media always says
wow...the way the crowd was cheering when he got up from the wheelchair, the whole sequence was like a movie. kinda like if they made a real movie about his life lol
I'm not sure that "grunge is dead" is a good way to put it, a lot of Nirvana's music is just as relevant today as it was then... For instance, if a song like Heart Shaped Box had JUST come out now, no one would think it sounded old, it would be just as relevant as it was then.
@qoxpox1 they had 2 diffrent clips for some reason the fat latino you were talking about was a whole diffrent clip but him in the wheel chair and after was live at reading 92"
I've read in the Kurt Cobain Biography that he did this, because the media says the drugs were gonna kill him. So, typically Kurt humor, he came on stage in a wheelchair, looking like a retard xD It's so freakin' funny lol xD
frodoalbert this iS A Joke....cause in 1992.....In USA ...the MEdia ....was always on his ass....!!...this same media....said about Kurt was dead...iN the same years 1992
so cobain.... take what the media went on about and his 'bad health' especially the way the brits love to exploit this kind of crap and throw it right back in their face. he played the whole show like he just came out from the hospital. totally brilliant.
it just sad that soo many people dont understand his humour.he did it the right way,if youre forced to make a show for people you really hate, then i would react the same way he did.
To anyone who was there dam u. I think its such a funny festival moment i love it when kurt temporally breaks character to head lock Everett True because he took him to the wrong microphone lol
This is their best performance that i can remember. There were alot of rumors at this point about his drug use so they played it up at the start , hence the wheelchair, i think this show and their unplugged show were the two best i've ever seen though.
