Man has certain innate needs and desires, having nothing to do with a culture at all. Add in the genetically inherited traits that make up certain personalities as well. @occupyknowledge Well I watched the parts you asked me to. (I will watch the rest later) Basically I agreed with 98% of it. Genetics do play a part and can in fact be changed as the video says. The Old Philanthropists answer was Eugenics just get rid of this bad strain of people. However this video seems to want to reeducate people or micro manage them to flick said switches to make them more conforming. This is even less efficient then Eugenics.

The underlying message I seemed to pick up from that section of video was that religious communities seem to thrive and do better (Amish,Kibbutzim, etc).
