I got mine at petco for 30$. And I got lucky he has no parasites and I got him the day they received them so he wasn't stuck in a small glass aquarium with 5 other WD's for too long. And you fail to mention the price of equipment and vet care they require. Don't think this is a cheap pet by any means. I've invested well over 1000$ in just my water dragons enclosures within the past 2 years.

They make awesome pets... they can be trained and love their owners if you care for them... We had one for 6 yrs and he was the sweetest thing... he passed away last year around christmas... He was our baby :(

amazing colours on that boy! got one myself about a month ago, about 5 months old now, when I get a bigger tank in about a year, what would you recommend the minimum size to be? I read that females may not need as big a tank as the males, was thinking around 4feet hight and around 3feet in length.
