  • Why is the sound cutting out so much? Is that from the pedal?

  • @ModestMouse1207 Yessir. It has a really cool, glitchy gate on certain settings that forces you to battle with the pedal.

  • @PumpkinPieces33 Well that convinced me to go with a different Devi Ever pedal then. Not sure why people would want their sound to cut out. The artwork on the pedal is fucking amazing though =/

  • @ModestMouse1207 I understand what you mean, but with the ZG it's not about what the player wants, sometimes it's fun to let the fuzz play you. But yeah, in most cases more control is preferable. Have fun with whatever devi you got. :]

  • @PumpkinPieces33 It may be fun, but for $100 I want to be be to control it (at least enough to decide when it cuts out haha). I'm thinking of getting the Devi Ever Torn's Peaker. Hopefully they have it at the guitarcenter when I end up going because its not appearing on their site anymore for some reason..

  • @ModestMouse1207 you should check out the pharaoh and algal bloom before you get a devi ever ....if you havent already....they are way better fuzzes in my opinion.....i guess its just all about what tone your going for though huh

  • @ihaveaverybadcold I listened to some demos of those pedals and I like the Devi Ever sound much better.

  • @ModestMouse1207 If you put a booster or another dirt pedal in front of it you won't have those issues. I use mine mostly that way (often paired with a regular distortion pedal), and it sounds great, never cuts out like that. But I agree with PumpkinPieces33; in some situations it can be interesting with that kind of unruly effect.

  • awesome face tat on the hand dude

  • You may have helped me decide on my next Devi! Funny no one mentions this... This has good sputter just like I'm looking for! With all my Devis, I can pretty much get rid of my Tweak Fuzz...

  • Where the fuck do these niggers get off using pictures from the internet for their fucking pedals? I hope whoever made that longcat shoop fucking digs up their original psd documents and fucking brings them to a lawyer. Fuck those niggers.

  • does this pedal self-oscillate?

  • @UncleWiggler Not with any of my guitars. Sometimes while a note sustained some funky note decays happened like an oscillating pedal would do. But it never self oscillated for me.

  • jack white is hung like a tic tac

  • @BLACKBEARDSBOOMBOX Like I said... it's bigger.

  • @PumpkinPieces33

How does this compare with the disaster fuzz?

  • @fanofthemusic1090 The Disaster fuzz is much brighter, and can obviously oscillate. The ZG is more muffy, and can do some 8-bit like amp dying tones the DF doesn't do. I like to use the DF for shoegazey chords/8-bit leads and the ZG for huge fuzzy riffs/starved 8-bit riffs.

  • @PumpkinPieces33

So how does the torns peaker fit between those two?

  • @fanofthemusic1090 Completely different beast. Not gated at all, lots of noise/feedback. Can go from trashy treble overdrive hard left to a smoother pumpkins torn muff fuzz hard right. Infinite tones once you start fucking with your guitars volume and tone knobs. Great weapon for shoegazers, garage rock, alternative and everything in between.

  • @PumpkinPieces33

In terms of versatility and over all usefullness/badassness, which of the three is best?

  • @fanofthemusic1090 Torn's Peaker. I mostly use the DF when recording, but not live/jamming, it's really a two tone beast. One gated, one oscillation with the control being sustain/osc. note. The ZG is pretty versatile as a synthy 8 bit dying muff fuzz. But tonally the TP is the most versatile.

  • @PumpkinPieces33

Overall, do you prefer the Aenima, the Torn's Peaker, or the Legend of Fuzz?

  • @ChickenFaeces If I was forced to choose between the 3 I'd go with the Torn's Peaker. Aenima would be a very close second, since they're similar circuits. But the TP can get a little a more intense and with your guitar's volume knob you have a lot of control. However I use my Aenima a lot more because it's a bit more practical. As for the Legend of Fuzz, I just can't work it into my sound.

  • @PumpkinPieces33

    Thanks!

  • @PumpkinPieces33

Argh, because I Obsessive-Compulsively need to make lists of this shit,

Which would you pick, Soda Meiser, Hyperion, or Aenima?

  • @ChickenFaeces I never bonded with the Hyperion. I'd choose the Aenima. Because I love feedback and noise.

  • Dude you really know your Devi Ever history! I love Devi Pedals! Keep em comin!

  • Devi Ever makes some wonderful noise pedals, but I don't see what anyone would want this one for. So much of the sound cuts out.

  • I would love to hear this one with your tele

    lovez from holland

  • @MoonlightShadowlolz Someone else asked for an aenima->ZG demo. I'll be sure to use my Tele when I get to doing that demo. =]

  • @PumpkinPieces33 Alright awesome! I'll be checking it out. Wanna buy an Devi fuzz too for my tele. I have watched all of your vids woth tele and STILL can't decide! haha.

Btw, did you just won the PGS contest?

  • ...this demo has been waited for guite a bit, thanks, Pumpkinz.

It seems to be just as rad as promised, even in the lower settings :lol

  • glad to see they gave you the corner office finally.
