Nice video... I have been growing my locs for 2 years but had grown my hair for 5...my locks are to my chest and the new growth/untwisted hair after wash does not seem to lock at all? Just growing and growing but they aren't locking up? Why?
@859LilVTae: Honestly, I cannot tell you why because I wonder that myself. That is why I would end up interlocking it. Now that I stopped interlocking, I'm taking an experience on seeing how long it would take my hair to lock up without any alternate ways to lock it. But I think all new growth would EVENTUALLY lock up, we just don't notice.
i have two questions..first one is my dad has had dreads for 6 months now and he wants to know where a good loctician in philly is and two what song is that playing in the background? thanks..
@ImThatGirlKel: Try going to ebraidingDOTnet and you can search locations near your home and the song playing in the background was Snoop Dogg's "I Wanna Rock"
@PrettyKiddLee: Wait? So you're telling me you're locking with a perm? Well at least with permed ends? Well I would say just cut them permed ends cuz you're really supposed to start off with all natural hair.
I haven't really been putting oil on my scalp. I just put it on my hair and massage it in. I'm going to start adding a little oil to my scalp now, especially during the winter. Thanks for the info!
@marcus23332333: Yes I do still interlock my hair as well as retwisting. I interlocked my hair a week before I made this video, but the next time I'm gonna wash my hair, I'm going to retwist it.
im jus starting out growing my dreads out. (well they're not dreads yet they're still twist) i kno i have to lock them up but as far as locking them or helping them lock up is what im totally confused about. like is there some proceedure to as how im supposed to lock them becuz all i do is twist it like every 5 seconds. like is that the only thing to it? sorry so long. love your dreads
Thanks! Well, when you're 1st starting out, you're really not supposed to touch them like that. They're like fragile little babies, lol. that was a big mistake that I did. But just let them do what they do and you can try sea salt water to help them lock up too. I have videos on that. But for the most part, don't touch them, and tie them up with a du-rag or something.
lol wow i cant believe you said that but like i cant help it. but i guess ill have to get over it. thanx. oo can you send me the link to the vid u was talkin about?

@Kumina: Yeah, it's really important to oil in your scalp because even as natural haired people, we need it. So try to oil your dreads!!
