@FORTSTRADER it just came over years and years of practice bro. I had a couple months worth of lessons back when I was a kid just to learn the basics, and then went off on my own. So pretty much self-taught. My techniques aren't the best, but this is just how I play. I remember getting noticeably better once I started trying harder and harder to be able to play Cannibal Corpse stuff. Gallery of Suicide was where I got good. I used to be able to play every single song off of it

@LySeRgIa2 nah I use a Line 6 Toneport and have EMG 81/85 actives in there.

@JacksonUSA0683 ah, makes sense you have such a mean crunchy sound then. 85's are my favorite for metal, but I play alot of instrumental stuff so I don't really use actives anymore. I use a tubescreamer and Seymour Duncans, no warmth in an active pick up.

@LySeRgIa2 yeah you're right about that with the 81's, they're kinda one-dimensional but for death metal they deliver one hell of a pissed of sound!!!
