really instructive game. look at how great spassky's position is at virtually every point in the game. hard to imagine a more comfortable position in a low time limit game.
i was brought back to this game b/c i trapped Shredder's light sq B for two pawns by playing h4 the other day tho at a more advanced stage in the game (diff opening) already castled K side so opened up g and h files for its rooks exposing my king even further -but was able to get a threefold rep .. only beaten Shredder with multiple takebacks .. great programme 2800 strength, usually massacres me the way Lobron here as YARDBIRD on ICC playing blitz usually does his opponents -awesome player
thank u verry much, learned a lot, even so i saw it already. it fantastic how much the the bishop on g5 influences the enire game. thats a move that springs first to mind, but before i saw the game i didnt really know how to use it
i love the fact how spassky at the beginning uses the showboard, whenever i imagined myself playing otb, i saw myself doing that, even so most tournaments probably dont have 1
