Part of the issue of course is that very unique scifi games like Red Faction just don't sell as well because gamers these days are more looking into modern military shooters with Halo being the exception(but even in Halo, the best weapons look like they're from the 1990s and it's basically a reskinned military game, not scifi). THQ fired the people that worked on RF:A just last week.
