While Lights, Feeling That Way/Anytime and Wheel In The Sky are awesome, amazing songs like this, Somethin' To Hide and Winds Of March never got played! A damn shame! If your just getting into Journey or a fan because of their popular stuff you owe it to yourself to checkout their songs that weren't played on the radio! They're some of their best!

@mountnman3609 Arnel is lacking Steve Perry's emotive singing voice. You can really tell when you listen to Steve sing that the lyrics mean something to him emotionally and that makes you feel the emotion in the songs also.

been a fan since Next...thru it all as a guitarist - my favorite parts in Journey are when Neal/Steve sing/play lead lines together like on the pre-lead here. One of their better compositions.
Overtly, Patiently, the first song they cowrote, reveals the love they had for each other and for the spotlight. The looks they share on stage (here and on Girl Can't Help It) reveal a lot more. I often wonder if Perry wasn't replaced by Cain in Schon's affections and it destroyed them, not his hip surgery.
I love that sweet, angelic smile Steve gives at the very end of this song. He must bring an angelic smile to his beloved mother's face in heaven every time she sees how her precious son still touches all our hearts with his beautiful soul carried along on his perfect voice. This is just another example why Journey was kept from being given R&R HOF status. HOFshould have happened a decade ago, but SP, for majority of people I know and from reading all the zillions of critiques, simply did not exude that strong, hard-driven hard-rocker persona that the general music spectators seem to look for. In some ways the SP-led Journey may have unfairly placed in the same category as Air Supply. The now AP-led Journey appear to be changing that perception. Go Journey!
Part 1: AP is amazing! There's a vid out where the camera zooms in towards the stage, but before you get a chance to see who is at the mic, you'd swear it was SP! BUT...after watching the same song song again live but with SP, you cannot deny SP had a better voice (I doubt he can sing better than AP now).
One more thing, these youtube vids cannot reproduce the hi-fidelity a good CD can . Listen to the new Journey CD and through a decent system and you'll see AP, although his voice is INCREDIBLE, is not as sharp and tight as SP!
PART 3: I just popped the CD in....yeah, AP is OK. His voice just doesn't cut through like SP's...maybe it's just a lowsy recording cause everyone sounds like crap on it.

I have just read thru all the comments on this song, they made me feel emotional and tearful whilst reading thru them, in a good way though. I hope Steve sees these comments and realises what he means to his fans. We love you Steve Perry, you are one in a billion !

been a fan since Next...thru it all as a guitarist - my favorite parts in Journey are when Neal/Steve sing/play lead lines together like on the pre-lead here. One of their better compositions.

Overtly, Patiently, the first song they cowrote, reveals the love they had for each other and for the spotlight. The looks they share on stage (here and on Girl Can't Help It) reveal a lot more. I often wonder if Perry wasn't replaced by Cain in Schon's affections and it destroyed them, not his hip surgery.

I love that sweet, angelic smile Steve gives at the very end of this song. He must bring an angelic smile to his beloved mother's face in heaven every time she sees how her precious son still touches all our hearts with his beautiful soul carried along on his perfect voice. We love you Steve! Your mom is eternally proud of her baby :-)

I just read the steve is elgible for the induction to the rock-n-roll hall of fame 2010. I read a lot of coments that were from his fans, so I hope it happens because he deserves it. Let's continue until it happens.

This is just another example why Journey was kept from being given R&R HOF status. HOFshould have happened a decade ago, but SP, for majority of people I know and from reading all the zillions of critiques, simply did not exude that strong, hard-driven hard-rocker persona that the general music spectators seem to look for. In some ways the SP-led Journey may have unfairly placed in the same category as Air Supply. The now AP-led Journey appear to be changing that perception. Go Journey!

Part 1: AP is amazing! There's a vid out where the camera zooms in towards the stage, but before you get a chance to see who is at the mic, you'd swear it was SP! BUT...after watching the same song song again live but with SP, you cannot deny SP had a better voice (I doubt he can sing better than AP now).

One more thing, these youtube vids cannot reproduce the hi-fidelity a good CD can . Listen to the new Journey CD and through a decent system and you'll see AP, although his voice is INCREDIBLE, is not as sharp and tight as SP!

PART 3: I just popped the CD in....yeah, AP is OK. His voice just doesn't cut through like SP's...maybe it's just a lowsy recording cause everyone sounds like crap on it.
