What is the point of making these nasty and mean comments about this video. All you people who make these comments don't really actually think about it. You should watch this video and think it is a load of crap i bet half of you just watch 10 seconds of it. Why can't you just try to be mysterious in your lives and actually think if this is real or just don't comment or just shut up.
There are heavenly precious stones that are written about in the bible contained with in the realms of the heavens and the scripture calls them precious. I invite you to question and ask your self why? I have a friend in his late 50,s and for years he has judiciously been takeing finely ground incriments of many differnt kinds of minerals and quarts silica. His skin is flawless ,his physical energy knows no limits and his mind is as sharp as a razor.

Who created this world and with it everything in the nature...above and under it? Who? GOD. So you see when God created this world with it it created all elements that we needed to survive...from food to minerals. But one thing you should never forget..as some have..worshiping crystal. Thats all I wanted to say..just an advice.
Your only a Moron if you throw rocks at cats! damn If only I was there to see you do something like that, I would have smashed your face in the pavement and thats made of rock too!
@ pyramidheadkitten9...People are encouraged to still seek medical help WITH alternative medicine. No alternative therapist has ever (please God don't let any of them be that dumb) said that somebody should ignore a doctors advice. In alternative medicine, people are encouraged to look at the mind, body and soul as a unity. They have to get to the root of the problem, take a look at Chinese Medicine it's all about the whole person i.e HOLISTIC medicine.
OMG IT'S TRUE! CRYSTALS DO HAVE POWER!!!! I have always thought that anyone who would believe a rock had any kind of power was a fucking moron, well something happened that changed my opinion. I looked out my back window and saw the neighbor's cat shitting in my garden again, I grabbed my wrist rocket and a piece of quartz my wife kept on the window sill, I ran out back took aim and let fly... There you have it, the crystal had the power to turn a cat into fertilizer, changed my life.
@lawnsausages Of course people (well, most) don't think rocks have any kind of power - though some may think crystals have magic abilities, or a type of energy that has not yet been discovered by science. But most of us know that they are just another tool that helps strengthen one's abilities and intentions - meaning that for a crystal to work, one has to put into it their own energy and intentions, but do the actual work themselves. It's the power of the mind that is the main focus, silly.
@Bhav341 SILLY!!... HOW DARE YOU!!... eh, guess it could've been worse. I posted that here because our host (happily, you as well) believes in the power of positive thought, not that crystals have any powers. (knew he'd like the story too) But there are a lot of folks out there that do. Check ataanaloa, that dude better lay off the hookah. Silicon dioxide IS amazing though. Pass an electrical current through it, viola! here we are sharing our thoughts. =) (after you build a computer around it)
I could say that I've done all the reading on crystals, dutifully looked up each one's special magical abilities after purchasing, "cleansed" them with the smoke from special sage bundles made from California white sage that I planted under the light of a full moon in my magical fairy garden - but in truth, I don't have the time for all that focusing and intentions crap. I just like them cause they're purty. And felt like busting your balls.
@Bhav341 That's what those hippies are doing in my yard. They told me it was a free pruning service. Quartz, amethyst, feldspar, jasper, agate, tiger eye, chalcedony etc. Any SiO2 or SiO4, sand basically. It's the most common substance in the Earth's crust, we should all be very healthy. Ok, carry on ball buster and you should stay away from those fairies, you never know where they've been...Pixies are a lot more fun.
@lawnsausages no, you are right. what amazes me is all of the info in the crystal books, how this one is for energy, and this one helps you deal with depression, this one makes your hair look better, and this one makes you excel at math, or communicate better with your pets....I mean, who comes up with this stuff? And has it been proven? I do believe in things unseen, but I don't swallow all of it...that's for sure.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
For proper medicinal use, amethyst MUST be taken internally. In this regard, men have two options, and women three. Whichever orifice is chosen, ram the crystal in, hard and deep, and, believe me, all of your previous problems will be as dust in the wind. Upon completion of this holy crystal therapy, do not forget to proceed directly to the nearest hospital. good luck,
I know a secret place where amethyst can be dug right out of the ground. I can get as much as I want for free at any time, and no one knows the place exists.
I have a question and then an idea which you may find interesting
Question: What is it about a 'crystals', in this case amethyst, atomic structure which gives them certain mind affecting and altering properties?
I propose a test, take a large sample of people ( for example 1000 ) and place them individually in a blank and empty room with either amethyst or calcite ( or any other 'crystal' ). Ask them which promoted 'sobriety and clarity of mind'
@Mcjammi I believe in freedom of speech. I do not delete comments (unless they are just being hateful) and welcome opposing points of view. It stimulates conversation and therefore growth and an expansion in consciousness, which I am all for. It would be interesting to see some legitimate studies done on crystal therapy, maybe one day there will be the funding to do so.
@Mcjammi Until then, the idea of crystal healing is mostly an ancient esoteric belief system that likely plays into the "placebo effect" (which is simply proof that the minds CAN heal the body). My personal belief is that crystals may help us focus on certain though vibrations simply by looking at it or feeling it in our pocket. In that moment, your thoughts become focused on the suggested intent, ie Sobriety.
@Mcjammi The fact that many people believe it works and that it has roots in ancient culture adds to the power of the suggestion making the desires outcome more likely to be possible. It all relates to theoretical ideas that stem form quantum physics, the idea that all things are simply the outcome of "probabilities"..what the observer "intends" to see.
@Mcjammi If you can convince the observer it is "healing"...they will. Its the exact same idea as the placebo effect, except you KNOW it is your mind causing the healing and not necessarily the physical components of the crystal.
@Mcjammi well, crystals have a propety in which when energy comes in contact with a crystal, it generates frequeancies of electric impulses, and it is a proven fact not just superstition
Great video, we happen to be selling a gorgeous giant amethyst section, just google search giant amethyst crystal and it's the 3rd listed result (it's on ebay). It's perfect for neutralizing bad energy and it's a great meditational aid
it is perfectly justified to call these people stupid, because they use methods which do absolutely nothing, and science, doctors, pharmacists, even james randi have all proven them to be bullshit time and time again, but people use this as an alternative to medicine that actually does shit and they, no wonder, end up dying.
@Delisle4 "Desire" from Deepak Chopra's Sound of Healing CD. Thanks for filling my page with insightful thoughts. People dismiss the "placebo effect" and never really consider "what" that is, it is basically our minds ability to create our reality, in this case a healing state. Namaste
Thank you for the name of the music. I am a Reiki practitioner and the exchange that I had with "georgtcr" is quite common with people who still cling on to old paradigms of belief and try to apply left brain logic to something that is completely intuitive and derived from Source. If ever you were to make other videos may I put in a request for clear quartz crystal and rose quartz. Thanks
@Delisle4 Good suggestions. I will work on those two crystal video. I haven't made a new one in a while...its about time! Peace.
"left brain logic to something that is completely intuitive and derived from Source." perfectly said. For those people there is no such thing as what can not be seen. "A blind man is easily fooled" - some Chinese guy ;)
and i feel that as far as leaving an ignorant negative comment perhaps if you have no faith in any thing besides what you can see feel smell and taste, then hear this . Your on a page that teaches folks wanting to know if your goals not to gain knowledge,then please stay in your 3 dimensional world and not interfere with anothers road. honestly i wish blessings for you and i pray you may yet awaken
Wow, who knew that a chunk of SiO2 could do so much. Don't you know that hallucinogenic drugs are bad for your health? Oh, one last thing, hahahahahahahahahaha!
@purenergyhealing yes, they are bad for you actually, because the chemicals inside of them fuck up your brain's perceptive abilities. assuming you commonly take hallucinogenic drugs, that must expalin as to why youre so fucking stupid you believe in crystal healing.
@pyramidheadkitten9 Study please and make it a double blind placebo controlled peer review publish one. Thanks. Your opinion just isn't enough to convince me.
I find that when someone accuses the other of being something (ie fucking stupid) it is really a deflection to hide how they secretly feel about themselves. Stop judging others so harshly and you will ceased to be judged as well. Its ok to be "stupid", God made you perfectly...you were born this way and I love you. I see you. Namaste
@nightthunder11 of course that study doesn't exist, because its not true. Hallucinogens can be very therapeutic if administered in the correct way. Even mainstream medicine is starting to revisit the use of psychotropic drug for therapeutic benefit. Recently, there was a study done to show how MDMA (ecstasy) reduces the size of tumors and it is currently being used by psychiatrist to treat PTSD.
People think that using crystals is a New Age thing and do not realise that this information comes down to us from thousands of years of knowledge through healers and shamans. Look before you leap.
@Delisle4 I am aware that this superstitious nonsense has been around for a long time. Yes, the magical healers and shamans of thousands of years ago believed this same crap that you call "knowledge". In addition to believing that disease was caused by evil spirits inhabiting the body, and that sacrificing cattle to the gods of the mountain would ensure fertility. They really "knew" alot, didn't they! All this medical knowledge, yet the average lifespan was in the mid 30's?? Go figure.
You make a good point in terms of the belief of evil spirits but as medicine has evolved and come a long way, so has alternative medicine. At this point in human history, I think there is a place where the two can join and benefit from one another. If a person gets cancer they should immediately go to the doctor to get a clear and distinct prognosis but within the healing aspect of the patient, many believe that science should be combined with the spiritual...Just my two cents.
@Delisle4 The only benefit that "spiritual" medicine has is the placebo effect. If someone believes that holding a purple rock will help heal them, then it just might, to a small degree. Scientific medicine has become so wipespread and replaced ancient mysticism for one reason; it works. That isn't to say that I agree with how the medical industry currently applies this science, as its goal is to sell drugs and maximize corporate profits, not to actually cure or prevent disease. We might agree?
Funny you should mention the placebo affect. There is a documentary on the ONE channel about healing that explores this issue and it seems that the placebo affect woks for Alternative medicine in the same way it does mainstream medicine. There is no arguement that mainstream medicine can work but it localises a certain symptom instead of treating the whole body. In addition the mainstream medicines have the downside of outrageous side effects which can do more harm than good. (1)
As I mentioned before, this is not to say that if you get cancer you should go to the jungle and seek out a Shaman and ignore the cancer fighting drugs that are currently available but using fewer of these drugs or maybe in combination with Alternative seems like a good idea. There are those that have suffered with chronic pain and have used MS medicine with no real effect. Often these people try Alternative medicine and receive help that MS medicine could not provide. (2)
@Delisle4 We seem to be on the same page in agreeing that doctors and hospitals are in the business of selling drugs, regardless of whether or not they work or if that is the best solution to the disease. Just look at the health of the USA today. Its all about money. However, turning to ancient mysticism is not any better.
We both recognize that health is of the upmost importance and that people need to be aware of how they are treating their bodies. As you pointed out, the American diet is in complete distress and decay but chains like Whole Foods MArket are beginning to make inroads into the eating habits of people and more parents are asking for healthier food choice at school cafeterias so all is not lost. Please refer back to my other responses - turning to ancient mysticism IS better as it.. (1)
forces us to look at our health carefully and take our eating, exercise, mental and emotional state into account. As I said, this should be a combination of MS medicine and ancient mysticism like Chinese Medicine, Reiki and crystal healing which helps to alleviate the mental and emotional state. Instead of popping an anti-depressant, why not use crystals or get a Reiki treatment. If you get cancer, see your doctor immediately and incorporate herbs as well. Now do you understand?
@Delisle4 I would hardly call eating right ancient mysticism. The ancients thought that crystals had magical powers, but we know today that is not the case. I get that you don't really think they have supernatural magical powers but that you think that they can still be helpful in a way; psychologically that is. So if holding a crystal can help relax you, then thats cool, like you said it is better than taking a drug. Just don't claim that it is anything magical; its all in your head. Peace.
I am looking back at my previous comments and I don't remember ever using the word "magical"...this is all in your head. The ancients thought that gems had powers because they had no other word or context to express themselves. All I know is that crystals do impart a certain energy that according to many that use them can heal. You may not believe in this (placebo) and you are entitled to your opinion but stop with the judgemental attitude. Your ego is all in your head.
@Delisle4 We need proven ways to PREVENT diseases in the first place. This is where nutrition comes in. I suggest you read a book "The China Study". Proven science is presented that confirms that diet is the single most important factor in disease and that the vast majority of diseases are preventable by eating right (Plant- based), many are even reversible. Check it out.
@hammerpower100 certainly. If you spend time with them, looking at them, feeling them, smelling them, they all have their own energy. Meditating with a stone is a great way to connect to its higher energy and begin understanding its nature.
I appeal to everyone drawn to working with crystals in their present phase of personal evolution to develop an intuitional ability to recognise in their natural local environment all the mineral being who can and will help them.
Please stop supporting the rampant consumerism that contributes to ripping up valuable crystal and other mineral resources which are already doing something vital. Remember the joy of possession of shiny things indicates a relatively low level of consciousness!

Highly respectable & extremely intelligent quantum physicists are working on the theory that matter can be transported to other time and space via other dimensions Highly evolved scientific theories are always considered too 'way out' for ordinary thinkers (even those who claim they are experts) which is why Albert Einstein was considered by the scientists as a complete drop out
So I wonder which theories of today (which will eventually be proven) are just too way out for the common thinkers?
NASA has already succeeded in moving objects with sound waves although this concept still requires a lot of development but the foundation is there.
Also scientists have also succeeded in moving protons to another place (not sure if there is a time delay or not) so in theory this could eventually happen with all matter (perhaps even human beings). This is not imaginary it is actually science (provable). It is just cutting edge.
@TheSebby1000 like video phones, automatic doors, computers, air flight, space flight, TV, Iphones, XRAY, MRI, CT scans, organ transplants, ...........
that the healing is imagined which it most certainly does not.. it simply means that within our current framework of understanding we simply do not "get it"
Pity that more doctors dont dare to admit this once in a while for fear of losing the illusion of their god status. However true scientists search for proof yes but dont automatically discredit the ideologies not currently understood.
google the collider- off topic but just shows how extraordinary and fantastical this universe really is...
The term placebo has been thrown around on this link without proper understanding of its meaning. When something is considered placebo it simply means healing has occurred and we dont understand WHY. It does NOT automatically deem the therapy null or void.. it simply means current scientific understanding cannot categorize and reproduce this result. It is more a reflection of our limited understanding of what exactly is happening. However certain people here keep claiming that it must mean..
I have literally been shocked at the disgusting dumb arse arrogant lemmings in the medical field who literally have no clue and just follow a rule book yet for some ridiculous reason consider themselves superior beings becasue that is what we are taught to do (clinical distance). My father was diagnosed with Cancer and told there was nothing that could be done yet 12 years later and thanks to alternative medicine he is perfectly fine...
I agree it is tiring having an endless conversation with people who demand proof for everything. The way scientific research is constructed makes certain things literally impossible to prove (which is why I made the decision to leave medicine altogether) yet it does not mean they are not true and valid. I can only compare it to a deaf person trying to 'see' sound yet jumping up and down when it can't be 'proven' or seen. One cannot measure other dimensions with our limited 3 dimensional ....
@TheSebby1000 HELLO there --- these are some valid points! First of all.. YES, some things are nearly impossible to prove, and of course just because there is no proof, does not mean that they are not true and valid; HOWEVER, without proof, how can one know if it is valid in any way?
« One cannot measure other dimensions with our limited 3 dimensional »
Of course .. if extra dimensions have any effect on us then their existence should be obvious. But they are not, so they likely may not exist
@Chirno9Icefall How would "extra dimensions" be obvious to us? We are unable to "see" the 5th dimension as it is comprised of sound/vibration. Those of us able to experience the 5th dimension have generally done so through meditation (and/or psychedelics). It must be nice to have everything all worked out at age 14.
@purenergyhealing So.. does this mean that I can manifest the '5th dimension' by using a piece of metal to create sound (pressure) waves, if such a 'dimension' is of sound? As long as I am not deaf and can hear clearly I should have no problems with that.. right?
@Chirno9Icefall no. You can't manifest something that is already there. You think it is something you can "see" and it is, but only once you have figured out what to look for and what you are looking at. At the very least, you need to accept that sound/vibrations creates matter before you can even begin to experience 5th dimensional reality.
Have you ever taken DMT? I recommend it for rapid mind expansion, but do it with someone who is experienced.
Sorry about the typos... anyway like I said... there are many many phonies out there but there is something to this and we need scientists to discover what it is... but dont assume they are all fakes and that it is all imagined because I did not imagine my experience nor did I lead it because particularly on that issue I was completely silent and had not ever discussed it with another person AT ALL.
I just hope you have a similar experience one day Love and Peace
@nicolagrace163 It sounds good but science is evidence based. Saying that a crystal promotes "harmony" is not exactly something that can be quantitatively measured.
If the crystal healing community would stop using incorrect pseudoscience jargon, focus on ONE claim and propose a controlled test, it will become scientific. Unfortunately for them, the placebo effect is well known and any test with a control group so far has failed to show any results.
She also talked linked him to surfing, drugs, bi polar & other personal information that identified him. All of this can be a lucky guesses yes but she plucked his name out of thin air and plucked the name I had chosen for my son out of thin air also ( I wasnt even pregnant either) -when I had been thinking all week that my future son's middle name was going to be Michael after my friend. To me this is just too accurate to be considered lucky guesses... but of course to you this has no meaning
I had not told anyone that I was thinking of naming him after my friend Michael- not even my husband. I promise you that is the truth. I am not sure how he got that information- whether she was in fact speaking to my friend who had died or whether she was reading my mind. I was silent at the time and had not said a word about this friend who had died a week prior to this reading. \
Like I said until it happens to you, you wont open up to it.
First she did a future and past reading which was very accurate but wasnt what I found most interesting so I wont go into that... then she told me that a young male was around me who had committed suicide &described the exact method which he died She said he had passed recently (yes) She then said Who is Michael? (that was his name) She then said he gives you the thumbs up to Joseph (That was the name I had chosen to name my son- I was thinking I would name my son Joseph Michael after my friend
Not sure why you have concluded that I dont want to consider the other side of the coin. As I have said I believe there are frauds out there... however I dont believe all are that way. Anyhow in response to your question re my medium experience. No the medium dod not know any of my friends. She was recommended 5 years prior to my reading from a person I met at a psychic fair who I never saw again. I'll fill you in with my reading...
Houdini &other illusionists have demonstrated how cold reading 'can' be faked but it isnt all fake at all I had a psychic reading where the reader picked the name, type of death &other specific details that no one knew when I had said NOTHING You will only be affected &believe if you have such an experience Kieran... &we cant prove these things yet but I personally wont deny myself experiences while we wait 4 proof..but I'm bored of your comments You seriously must be such a DUD in bed- BORING!
Uh huh. Ad hominem attack because you can't reply with a substantial arguement and only with anecdotal accounts and speculation. Way to be mature. The video was a nice way of visualising the more abstract concepts of quantum and string theory but it gives absolutely no evidence to support "energy" channeling of crystals.
BTW, psychic mediums ARE bogus. Perhaps you had a particularly skilled cold reader but I'm sure you overlooked any "misses" that may have occurred.
I recommend you watch Penn and Teller's Bullshit episode about spiritual mediums. Series 1 Episode 1. They also take on alternative medicine in later episodes. You tell me that I'm not open-minded but you're not willing to look at the opposite side of the coin. Check out these very well made shows and see what you think after. Just out of interest, was your spiritual medium recommended to you by a friend or acquaintance who might have provided them with personal details?
Kieran all I have to say is a big *Yawn* Don't you get tired of hearing yourself talk?
I watched that youtube video on 10th dimension from sebby and it was great. Mystics have a way of tapping into these dimensions even if they dont label it as quantum physics and the 5th dimension is what psychics are "seeing" which is why we have the option of changing our choices. I think thats what Sebby was trying to highlight. Spirituality isnt superstition it's thinking outside our basic limited 3D world
From one "scientist" to another (even though I'm a tad more open minded) have a watch of this video... how-to-imagine-the-tenth-dimension... on youtube. Sorry dont know how to link it.
I believe crystals, mediums, reiki etc are tapping into other dimensions and the presence of other dimensions are very widely accepted (albeit not yet provable) among quantum physicists.
Like I said one day science will be able to prove what mystics have been tapping into for centuries! Enjoy!
Sebby, I'm struggling to see how that video lends any credibility to crystal healing or any other type of mysticism. I am aware of, albeit only at face value as I'm a biologist not a physicist, basic quantum phenomena and of string theory and m-theory (which leads to even higher "space filling" dimensions). Using jargon about quantum theory gives the method a veneer of science that doesn't actually explain what's happening. I find it very doubtful that "magic men" centuries...
@kieranjones99 I don't think Sebby is trying to "prove" anything to you, I think he is trying to help you expand you consciousness, so you can better understand why we believe in this stuff. Have you ever done any psychedelics?
... ago would know anything about the world of quantum physics and other dimesions than the standards that Euclid set in ancient Greece (as they must have done if they were to know that crystals work at all).
@kieranjones99 The Greeks did not need "proof" of all things existence or efficacy, that is a modern belief set that came out of the "Enlightenment Era".
"It is interesting that many of the theories put forward by crystal healers attach importance to the regular geometric structure that characterises a crystal. Yet so-called "crystal" healers, in practice, make use of any precious or semi-precious material in their work, including not only amorphous (non-crystalline) rocks such as obsidian but also such substances as amber, jet, ivory, coral, and pearls."
@kieranjones99 good point, but an advanced practitioner knows this and has specific crystals that have been shaped and faceted specifically for healing. The best are called vogel cut crystal and were created by an IBM research scientist in the 60's.
Of course, just having a pretty stone in you pocket can at least keep your mind and thoughts focused on your "intention" (ie, be less judgmental, practice forgiveness, relax, and so forth). This is kinda what I mean by "spiritual healing".
I'd also like to point out that just because a "treatment" is old, doesn't necessarily make it correct. However, despite traditions of stones giving mystic powers going back centuries or millenia, the current format of crystal healing apparently can be dated back no farther than the 1940s. Reiki additionally was only founded in the 1920s and replaces the crystals with a person's hands.
@kieranjones99 actually, reiki is often accompanied by the use of crystals for amplification and focusing the reiki master's energy. They will place stones on the body or the reiki master will use them like wands to break up energy blocks, ect. I have had reiki done a couple times, it only worked maybe 3 times. I think it really depends on the "master" and your ability to connect with them. The "reiki practice" may have only been written down in the 20's but the idea is, of course, ancient.
Spiritual mediums I tend to have a real problem with as they are charlatans and fraudsters who pray on the grief of the bereaved for their own personal gain. Harry Houdini and other modern illusionists have demonstrated the skill of cold-reading and made it very public the way it works. Yet those who have suffered a loss might be so desperate for closure or comfort that they are oblivious to the realities of the practice instead of coming to terms with it naturally.
@kieranjones99 You know I have to actually agree with you on this. I have had many "cold readings" and they are loose and not very accurate. I taped a session once and listened to it later and I could hear how I lead the psychic to certain conclusions. It doesn't mean I don't believe some people aren't legitimately "psychic", only that most psychic's are not really pulling out unknown information, they are just pulling out your subconscious desire/fears and exposing them to you more clearly.
Just out of interest as well Sebby, what was your scientific background. I only ask as 99% of the other scientists I know come to have a stronger realisation of the natural world around them and let go of mystical explanations and superstition as a result of their scientific training. It teaches one to think more critically and question claims without strong supporting evidence. It always intrigues me when a person with a scientific background doesn't follow this same path.
As I said before you will only start to really open up when something unexplainable happens to you beyond all logic and reasoning and I sincerely hope that happens to you very soon as you deserve it.
That's all for me now.
Sending you the greatest love and peace and best of luck with all your investigations.
Well then really this just comes down to a debate of skepticism vs mysticism, which will probably never be resolved. It's the same debate as "God" vs science.
If "spiritual healing" didn't have an effect on the physical body (spirit = consciousness which is a physical entity) what is the point of anyone doing it if it doesn't make them feel any better? That's the point.
@kieranjones99 No, I can't and I wouldn't even try. Spirit is subjective and personal. I am making no claims, I am stating my opinion as are YOU. I am not interested in engaging in this boring endless un-"winable" debate of Spirit vs. Science.
@kieranjones99 BTW, I have no problem with you stating your opinions here (which I think you have sufficiently done) or you engaging in debate with those who engage you. I try to allow all comments and opinions to flow freely, but if you start "trolling" my commenters. I will have to block you. Fair enough? Peace.
Additionally I'd like to say that contrary to what impression I may have given, I am an extremely open-minded and liberal person as science quite often requires and leads one to be. However, open-mindedness doesn't mean utterly lacking skepticism otherwise you would believe anything without evidence, which isn't science. If you could provide me with independently produced evidence about the effectiveness of crystals I would take it much more seriously.
Respond to this video...I don't care if I am taken seriously, I threw that out the window when I started believing in things you can't see. I come from a very scientifically oriented family. So, being "metaphysical" was a bit like a christian becoming an atheist in my family. They all think I'm nuts (but happy). I don't care, meh.
I also don't care if you believe it or not. What you believe is up for you to decide.
A healthy skepticism is always good. I consider myself one, actually
I understand the definition of placebo and I also have a science degree surprise surprise! however my point was that somehow through belief in a higher purpose we are able to tap into untapped powers of the human mind which at this point is unexplainable and certainly amazing and worth investigating. Anyhow we are not going to get anywhere with this discussion.
Open your mind to the possibility that there are wise ones among the charlatans and you may be quite amazed at your experiences
Wow amazing that you have concluded that when we die that's it... 'end of' as you put it. I actually feel quite sorry for you. Thanks for expressing your opinion though.
I guess the only way for you to open up to the possibility of there being something more is when you yourself experience something 'unexplainable'. I truly hope that happens to you very soon. I totally agree that unfortunately there are shams out there (in most industries & this is no exception)however all is not simply fantasy
Through your own admission Placebo exists which means when we tap into the potential of mind of matter amazing things happen- you can not dispute this. Crystal healing among other complimentary medicines harness this and heal the mind or the soul... We do not claim to heal the body the way drugs do. Why on earth would you try to be negative about this when the human mind is nowhere near completely understood?
We are more than just our physical selves... science will catch up and prove this
I'm afraid when you start talking about souls and spirits, you're wandering into pseudoscience and mythology. You say that science is "will catch up and prove this", but don't you think in this age of enlightenment and rigorous scientific analysis, we might have already been able to determine if there is such a thing? If you're talking about consciousness, then you can explain that via chemical and electrical signalling in your brain. Once that stops, so do you. End of.
This is still the mistrust of science or perhaps even laziness of people to not actually try to learn basic science for themselves so they can make a balanced judgement. Stop just reading what the papers tell you and actually read credible scientific articles from accredited journals.
You also state that you know pharmaceuticals ARE effective. Unfortunately the alternative medicines "industry" is replete with snake oil salesmen who claim physical healing as a result of their "spiritual healing" and are making a killing for essentially a non-product. There is no regulatory authority for it and I'm sure if there were most would be shut down for fraudulent practices immediately. I'm all for free enterprise but alternative medicine is a sham just like psychics,
Oh so you're a drug pusher? and you don't see the damage that drug companies cause world wide? particularly in the mental health system? all this pill popping is for psychiatric treatment is also COMPLETELY based on 1 "theory" of chemical "imbalances" and is NOT proven yet widely accepted? Go figure!
The least understood FINAL frontier is not the depths of the ocean or the depths of space but the depth of the human mind! ....
What damage do drug companies cause? I can't accurately comment on psychiatric treatment as it's not the area my company is in. However, I can say that the industry is incredibly highly regulated (second only to weapons) and these stories of unscrupulous pharma companies is an utter myth these days. It was precipitated by a couple of bad apple cases in the 60s and 70s but it just doesn't happen now.
People are very confused by the scientific definition of a placebo...
... Its main purpose is in clinical trials to determine whether a drug that's being tested has a statistically greater efficacy than by just giving a control (placebo) group a non- drug. These are conducted through what are called blinded trials, where no patients or doctors know who is getting drug and who is getting placebo to avoid bias. It can then be demonstrated whether a patient with drug has significant improvement in symptoms compared to the placebo group.
Seriously Kieran you need to quiet down man. You don't know everything and science certainly doesnt either. It actually shows quite a limited mind which in fact goes against scientific enquiry. The fact is both schools of thought are equally valid even if this doesnt help you personally.
Ever looked into quantum physics?
There is much more to this than we currently understand or can prove... but just because science hasnt proven things yet doesnt mean it doent exist.
The thing is, I am a scientist. I work in the pharmaceuticals industry. I can see the benefit that the work of this industry does. Science is all about exploring the unknown - it's what keeps us in work. Yet, this Mickey Mouse healing process damages the casual observer's relationship with science as it sows a deep mistrust. Science can prove, pretty much beyond reasonable doubt, that crystals have no more of a healing effect to the body (except placebo) than doing nothing.
Keirenjones please refrain from writing such negativity. I agree that having such a strong reaction suggests your own "issues" which require healing.
Science is only a reflection of the limits of the current thinking of the day. At one point "scientists" believed the earth was flat and that smoking 'cleared the lungs' yet how wrong they were. Just because we cannot prove or 'see' certain things does not mean they do not exist. Visionaries push us forward and scientists merely prove or disprove
My "issues" are with this sort of false claim of healing by snake oil salesmen with no actual physical proof of the benefit of their "trade". They persuade people to turn their backs on genuinely proven medical aid for superstition. This also spreads a general distrust of science among its users as you have just demonstrated in your comment. Your examples are based on assertions from before the age of enlightenment and modern science. This shows in fact how progressive...
...science actually is. Whereas what is being promoted here and by other "new age medicine" represents a step back to the times when people believed in the 4 humours and the alignment of the stars and planets affecting one's health.
UGH... this video hurts my head! You do realise that all this stuff is bullshit and a sham right? Where are the blinded clinical studies that prove improved efficacy over a placebo (which it already is)? Where's the scientific proof of concept for it's therapeutic effects on the body?
@kieranjones99 where are the statements saying it has therapeutic effects on the physical body? My video is about using crystals to heal the spiritual body...not the physical one. Maybe next time you should actually WATCH the video, Namaste.
Spiritual? There is only the physical body. Whatever exists in the physical universe is governed by its physical laws.
"It aids the user in letting go of addictive mental patterning..."
"Ideal for... healing rooms..."
"For more information on Crystal Therapy, Vibrational Healing and Alternative Medicine..."
You're putting it into a medicinal capacity. People wouldn't come seeking "therapy" if there wasn't something wrong with their body. You're equating that...
... having a spiritual healing is the same as having a physical healing. This I'm afraid is nonsense. The power of suggestion is very powerful so saying that, e.g., their "bad energy" is being removed by a crystal to relieve their pain somewhere will give them a temporary placebo effect but it will do nothing to remedy or treat the underlying cause. It just lines the pockets of people who think they're doing good but at the least are doing nothing and at the worst damaging.
thank you for sharing your knowledge of crystals :)

@lawnsausages Yeah, quartz too - watches and all.

For proper medicinal use, amethyst MUST be taken internally. In this regard, men have two options, and women three.
Mcjammi 9 months ago
@Mcjammi If there were a statistically significant amount of people selecting amethyst you may be on to something. I have three predictions.
1. You wil not do the test
2. The test has not been done with an independant adjudicator present
3. If the test were done with an independant adjudicator it would not yeild positive results for someone such as yourself
Mcjammi 9 months ago
@Mcjammi I believe in freedom of speech. I do not delete comments (unless they are just being hateful) and welcome opposing points of view. It stimulates conversation and therefore growth and an expansion in consciousness, which I am all for. It would be interesting to see some legitimate studies done on crystal therapy, maybe one day there will be the funding to do so.
purenergyhealing 9 months ago
@Mcjammi Until then, the idea of crystal healing is mostly an ancient esoteric belief system that likely plays into the "placebo effect" (which is simply proof that the minds CAN heal the body). My personal belief is that crystals may help us focus on certain though vibrations simply by looking at it or feeling it in our pocket. In that moment, your thoughts become focused on the suggested intent, ie Sobriety.
purenergyhealing 9 months ago
@Mcjammi The fact that many people believe it works and that it has roots in ancient culture adds to the power of the suggestion making the desires outcome more likely to be possible. It all relates to theoretical ideas that stem form quantum physics, the idea that all things are simply the outcome of "probabilities"..what the observer "intends" to see.
purenergyhealing 9 months ago
@Mcjammi If you can convince the observer it is "healing"...they will. Its the exact same idea as the placebo effect, except you KNOW it is your mind causing the healing and not necessarily the physical components of the crystal.

People think that using crystals is a New Age thing and do not realise that this information comes down to us from thousands of years of knowledge through healers and shamans. Look before you leap.
Delisle4 11 months ago
@Delisle4 I am aware that this superstitious nonsense has been around for a long time. Yes, the magical healers and shamans of thousands of years ago believed this same crap that you call "knowledge". In addition to believing that disease was caused by evil spirits inhabiting the body, and that sacrificing cattle to the gods of the mountain would ensure fertility. They really "knew" alot, didn't they! All this medical knowledge, yet the average lifespan was in the mid 30's?? Go figure.
georgetcr 11 months ago
@georgetcr
Delisle4 11 months ago
@Delisle4 The only benefit that "spiritual" medicine has is the placebo effect. If someone believes that holding a purple rock will help heal them, then it just might, to a small degree. Scientific medicine has become so wipespread and replaced ancient mysticism for one reason; it works. That isn't to say that I agree with how the medical industry currently applies this science, as its goal is to sell drugs and maximize corporate profits, not to actually cure or prevent disease. We might agree?
georgetcr 11 months ago
@georgetcr
Delisle4 11 months ago
@georgetcr
Delisle4 11 months ago
@Delisle4 We seem to be on the same page in agreeing that doctors and hospitals are in the business of selling drugs, regardless of whether or not they work or if that is the best solution to the disease. Just look at the health of the USA today. Its all about money. However, turning to ancient mysticism is not any better.
georgetcr 11 months ago
@georgetcr
Delisle4 11 months ago
@georgetcr
forces us to look at our health carefully and take our eating, exercise, mental and emotional state into account.
Delisle4 11 months ago
@Delisle4 I would hardly call eating right ancient mysticism. The ancients thought that crystals had magical powers, but we know today that is not the case. I get that you don't really think they have supernatural magical powers but that you think that they can still be helpful in a way; psychologically that is. So if holding a crystal can help relax you, then thats cool, like you said it is better than taking a drug. Just don't claim that it is anything magical; its all in your head. Peace.
georgetcr 11 months ago
@georgetcr
Delisle4 11 months ago
@Delisle4 We need proven ways to PREVENT diseases in the first place. This is where nutrition comes in. I suggest you read a book "The China Study". Proven science is presented that confirms that diet is the single most important factor in disease and that the vast majority of diseases are preventable by eating right (Plant- based), many are even reversible. Check it out.

TheSebby1000 1 year ago
NASA has already succeeded in moving objects with sound waves although this concept still requires a lot of development but the foundation is there.
Also scientists have also succeeded in moving protons to another place (not sure if there is a time delay or not) so in theory this could eventually happen with all matter (perhaps even human beings). This is not imaginary it is actually science (provable). It is just cutting edge.

that the healing is imagined which it most certainly does not.. it simply means that within our current framework of understanding we simply do not "get it"
Pity that more doctors dont dare to admit this once in a while for fear of losing the illusion of their god status. However true scientists search for proof yes but dont automatically discredit the ideologies not currently understood.
google the collider- off topic but just shows how extraordinary and fantastical this universe really is...
TheSebby1000 1 year ago
The term placebo has been thrown around on this link without proper understanding of its meaning. When something is considered placebo it simply means healing has occurred and we dont understand WHY. It does NOT automatically deem the therapy null or void.. it simply means current scientific understanding cannot categorize and reproduce this result. It is more a reflection of our limited understanding of what exactly is happening. However certain people here keep claiming that it must mean..
TheSebby1000 1 year ago
@TheSebby1000 I couldn't agree more.
purenergyhealing 1 year ago
understanding as we have no point of reference.
TheSebby1000 1 year ago
I agree it is tiring having an endless conversation with people who demand proof for everything. The way scientific research is constructed makes certain things literally impossible to prove (which is why I made the decision to leave medicine altogether) yet it does not mean they are not true and valid. I can only compare it to a deaf person trying to 'see' sound yet jumping up and down when it can't be 'proven' or seen. One cannot measure other dimensions with our limited 3 dimensional ....
TheSebby1000 1 year ago
@TheSebby1000 HELLO there --- these are some valid points! First of all.. YES, some things are nearly impossible to prove, and of course just because there is no proof, does not mean that they are not true and valid; HOWEVER, without proof, how can one know if it is valid in any way?
« One cannot measure other dimensions with our limited 3 dimensional »
Of course .. if extra dimensions have any effect on us then their existence should be obvious. But they are not, so they likely may not exist
Chirno9Icefall 1 year ago
@Chirno9Icefall How would "extra dimensions" be obvious to us? We are unable to "see" the 5th dimension as it is comprised of sound/vibration. Those of us able to experience the 5th dimension have generally done so through meditation (and/or psychedelics). It must be nice to have everything all worked out at age 14.
purenergyhealing 1 year ago
@purenergyhealing So.. does this mean that I can manifest the '5th dimension' by using a piece of metal to create sound (pressure) waves, if such a 'dimension' is of sound? As long as I am not deaf and can hear clearly I should have no problems with that.. right?
Chirno9Icefall 1 year ago

To me this is just too accurate to be considered lucky guesses... but of course to you this has no meaning
nicolagrace163 1 year ago
I had not told anyone that I was thinking of naming him after my friend Michael- not even my husband. I promise you that is the truth. I am not sure how he got that information- whether she was in fact speaking to my friend who had died or whether she was reading my mind. I was silent at the time and had not said a word about this friend who had died a week prior to this reading. \
Like I said until it happens to you, you wont open up to it.
There are fakes but I cannot explain this
nicolagrace163 1 year ago
First she did a future and past reading which was very accurate but wasnt what I found most interesting so I wont go into that... then she told me that a young male was around me who had committed suicide &described the exact method which he died She said he had passed recently (yes) She then said Who is Michael? (that was his name) She then said he gives you the thumbs up to Joseph (That was the name I had chosen to name my son- I was thinking I would name my son Joseph Michael after my friend

Hi again Kieran,
Not sure why you have concluded that I dont want to consider the other side of the coin. As I have said I believe there are frauds out there... however I dont believe all are that way. Anyhow in response to your question re my medium experience. No the medium dod not know any of my friends. She was recommended 5 years prior to my reading from a person I met at a psychic fair who I never saw again. I'll fill you in with my reading...
nicolagrace163 1 year ago
Houdini &other illusionists have demonstrated how cold reading 'can' be faked but it isnt all fake at all I had a psychic reading where the reader picked the name, type of death &other specific details that no one knew when I had said NOTHING You will only be affected &believe if you have such an experience Kieran... &we cant prove these things yet but I personally wont deny myself experiences while we wait 4 proof..but I'm bored of your comments You seriously must be such a DUD in bed- BORING!

@nicolagrace163

@nicolagrace163
Just out of interest, was your spiritual medium recommended to you by a friend or acquaintance who might have provided them with personal details?
kieranjones99 1 year ago
Kieran all I have to say is a big *Yawn* Don't you get tired of hearing yourself talk?
I watched that youtube video on 10th dimension from sebby and it was great. Mystics have a way of tapping into these dimensions even if they dont label it as quantum physics and the 5th dimension is what psychics are "seeing" which is why we have the option of changing our choices. I think thats what Sebby was trying to highlight. Spirituality isnt superstition it's thinking outside our basic limited 3D world
nicolagrace163 1 year ago
Hey Kieran,
From one "scientist" to another (even though I'm a tad more open minded) have a watch of this video... how-to-imagine-the-tenth-dimension...
Enjoy!
TheSebby1000 1 year ago
@TheSebby1000
I find it very doubtful that "magic men" centuries...
kieranjones99 1 year ago
@kieranjones99 I don't think Sebby is trying to "prove" anything to you, I think he is trying to help you expand you consciousness, so you can better understand why we believe in this stuff. Have you ever done any psychedelics?

kieranjones99 1 year ago
@kieranjones99 The Greeks did not need "proof" of all things existence or efficacy, that is a modern belief set that came out of the "Enlightenment Era".

@TheSebby1000
If I may quote rational wiki:
"It is interesting that many of the theories put forward by crystal healers attach importance to the regular geometric structure that characterises a crystal. Yet so-called "crystal" healers, in practice, make use of any precious or semi-precious material in their work, including not only amorphous (non-crystalline) rocks such as obsidian but also such substances as amber, jet, ivory, coral, and pearls."
kieranjones99 1 year ago
@kieranjones99 good point, but an advanced practitioner knows this and has specific crystals that have been shaped and faceted specifically for healing. The best are called vogel cut crystal and were created by an IBM research scientist in the 60's.
Of course, just having a pretty stone in you pocket can at least keep your mind and thoughts focused on your "intention" (ie, be less judgmental, practice forgiveness, relax, and so forth). This is kinda what I mean by "spiritual healing".
purenergyhealing 1 year ago
@TheSebby1000
I'd also like to point out that just because a "treatment" is old, doesn't necessarily make it correct. However, despite traditions of stones giving mystic powers going back centuries or millenia, the current format of crystal healing apparently can be dated back no farther than the 1940s. Reiki additionally was only founded in the 1920s and replaces the crystals with a person's hands.
kieranjones99 1 year ago
@kieranjones99 actually, reiki is often accompanied by the use of crystals for amplification and focusing the reiki master's energy. They will place stones on the body or the reiki master will use them like wands to break up energy blocks, ect. I have had reiki done a couple times, it only worked maybe 3 times. I think it really depends on the "master" and your ability to connect with them. The "reiki practice" may have only been written down in the 20's but the idea is, of course, ancient.

@TheSebby1000
Spiritual mediums I tend to have a real problem with as they are charlatans and fraudsters who pray on the grief of the bereaved for their own personal gain. Harry Houdini and other modern illusionists have demonstrated the skill of cold-reading and made it very public the way it works. Yet those who have suffered a loss might be so desperate for closure or comfort that they are oblivious to the realities of the practice instead of coming to terms with it naturally.
kieranjones99 1 year ago
@kieranjones99 You know I have to actually agree with you on this. I have had many "cold readings" and they are loose and not very accurate. I taped a session once and listened to it later and I could hear how I lead the psychic to certain conclusions. It doesn't mean I don't believe some people aren't legitimately "psychic", only that most psychic's are not really pulling out unknown information, they are just pulling out your subconscious desire/fears and exposing them to you more clearly.

@TheSebby1000

If "spiritual healing" didn't have an effect on the physical body (spirit = consciousness which is a physical entity) what is the point of anyone doing it if it doesn't make them feel any better? That's the point.
kieranjones99 1 year ago
@kieranjones99 you don't even believe in spirit so how could you possible know what spiritual healing is?
purenergyhealing 1 year ago
@purenergyhealing
Can you define "spiritual" for me then please? You can't make a claim without a proper definition of what you claim to be having an effect on.
kieranjones99 1 year ago
@kieranjones99 No, I can't and I wouldn't even try. Spirit is subjective and personal. I am making no claims, I am stating my opinion as are YOU. I am not interested in engaging in this boring endless un-"winable" debate of Spirit vs. Science.
purenergyhealing 1 year ago
@kieranjones99 spirit = consciousness which is a physical entity
That's your opinion....you don't have any studies to back that claim up.
purenergyhealing 1 year ago
@purenergyhealing
Ok I admit that's an assertion from me but that's what I assumed you mean by spirit.
kieranjones99 1 year ago
@kieranjones99 BTW, I have no problem with you stating your opinions here (which I think you have sufficiently done) or you engaging in debate with those who engage you. I try to allow all comments and opinions to flow freely, but if you start "trolling" my commenters. I will have to block you. Fair enough? Peace.

@purenergyhealing
Additionally I'd like to say that contrary to what impression I may have given, I am an extremely open-minded and liberal person as science quite often requires and leads one to be. However, open-mindedness doesn't mean utterly lacking skepticism otherwise you would believe anything without evidence, which isn't science. If you could provide me with independently produced evidence about the effectiveness of crystals I would take it much more seriously.
kieranjones99 1 year ago
Respond to this video...I don't care if I am taken seriously, I threw that out the window when I started believing in things you can't see. I come from a very scientifically oriented family. So, being "metaphysical" was a bit like a christian becoming an atheist in my family. They all think I'm nuts (but happy). I don't care, meh.
I also don't care if you believe it or not. What you believe is up for you to decide.
A healthy skepticism is always good. I consider myself one, actually
purenergyhealing 1 year ago
I understand the definition of placebo and I also have a science degree surprise surprise! however my point was that somehow through belief in a higher purpose we are able to tap into untapped powers of the human mind which at this point is unexplainable and certainly amazing and worth investigating. Anyhow we are not going to get anywhere with this discussion.
Open your mind to the possibility that there are wise ones among the charlatans and you may be quite amazed at your experiences
TheSebby1000 1 year ago
Wow amazing that you have concluded that when we die that's it... 'end of' as you put it. I actually feel quite sorry for you. Thanks for expressing your opinion though.
I guess the only way for you to open up to the possibility of there being something more is when you yourself experience something 'unexplainable'. I truly hope that happens to you very soon. I totally agree that unfortunately there are shams out there (in most industries & this is no exception)however all is not simply fantasy
TheSebby1000 1 year ago
Through your own admission Placebo exists which means when we tap into the potential of mind of matter amazing things happen- you can not dispute this. Crystal healing among other complimentary medicines harness this and heal the mind or the soul... We do not claim to heal the body the way drugs do. Why on earth would you try to be negative about this when the human mind is nowhere near completely understood?
We are more than just our physical selves... science will catch up and prove this
TheSebby1000 1 year ago
@TheSebby1000
End of.
kieranjones99 1 year ago
@TheSebby1000
This is still the mistrust of science or perhaps even laziness of people to not actually try to learn basic science for themselves so they can make a balanced judgement. Stop just reading what the papers tell you and actually read credible scientific articles from accredited journals.
kieranjones99 1 year ago
@TheSebby1000
I'm all for free enterprise but alternative medicine is a sham just like psychics,
kieranjones99 1 year ago
Oh so you're a drug pusher? and you don't see the damage that drug companies cause world wide? particularly in the mental health system? all this pill popping is for psychiatric treatment is also COMPLETELY based on 1 "theory" of chemical "imbalances" and is NOT proven yet widely accepted? Go figure!
The least understood FINAL frontier is not the depths of the ocean or the depths of space but the depth of the human mind! ....
TheSebby1000 1 year ago
@TheSebby1000
People are very confused by the scientific definition of a placebo...
kieranjones99 1 year ago
@TheSebby1000

Chill out dog
TheSebby1000 1 year ago
@TheSebby1000

"The thing is, I am a scientist. I work in the pharmaceuticals industry"
Ah, that explains it.
purenergyhealing 1 year ago
Keirenjones please refrain from writing such negativity. I agree that having such a strong reaction suggests your own "issues" which require healing.
Science is only a reflection of the limits of the current thinking of the day. At one point "scientists" believed the earth was flat and that smoking 'cleared the lungs' yet how wrong they were. Just because we cannot prove or 'see' certain things does not mean they do not exist. Visionaries push us forward and scientists merely prove or disprove
nicolagrace163 1 year ago
@nicolagrace163
This shows in fact how progressive...
kieranjones99 1 year ago
@nicolagrace163
...science actually is.

Where's the scientific proof of concept for it's therapeutic effects on the body?
kieranjones99 1 year ago
@kieranjones99 where are the statements saying it has therapeutic effects on the physical body? My video is about using crystals to heal the spiritual body...not the physical one. Maybe next time you should actually WATCH the video, Namaste.
purenergyhealing 1 year ago
@purenergyhealing
You're equating that...
kieranjones99 1 year ago
@purenergyhealing
... having a spiritual healing is the same as having a physical healing.
