just today janet basco visited in my office. at first i really do not know that she was janet basco. i approached her and told her that she is so pretty...and wow! OMG she is the singer of my favorite song "minsan pa'. ang swerte ko naman. she is not only having a golden voice but a very good/soft spoken hearted woman.

if my memory serves me right, song's melody was by jose mari chan, lyrics by rolando tinio. originally created for celeste but janet ended up singing it and thus, formally launching her to stardom...does my age show? hahaha

I'm the writer of the film Minsan Pa where the song is one of the theme songs. Rolando Tinio was such a genius. His lyrics are simultaneously colloquial and poetic. The words express so eloquently what you would love to tell a loved one. The song literally takes the words out of my heart. I hope he reads this message.

Mr. Tinio has already passed on. He is truly a genius and a theater maven. He also wrote the lyrics for the song Ibig Kong Ibigin Ka by Anthony Castello.
