Sometimes it's Bobby who jumps out. You got lucky, because it's impossible to tell from simply the box movements. Scares the shit out of you if you're not expecting it.

Not for me. Bobby always pops out in the storage room. But a cat always jumps out when you're in the second-floor bathroom.

It's quite rare for the cat to jump out of the box, especially if you lost Bobby a long time ago and feels the need to make a reappearance. Also, it'll be the cat if you wait in the Storage room long enough once Bobby has already tried that move before.

I don't really understand the idol. It had a key role in Clock Tower (PS1) but on this it just seemed like an alternate entrance.

in the storage room,aka the room where he broke the wall down to reveal a secret room,did you see the box in the bottom right hand corner?if you fool around for too long in there,he'll pop up and start chasing you,meaning you'll have to shake him off by going into a hiding place,meaning you'll waste more time.

of course,there's a 50% chance a black cat will pop out instead of the scissors guy (name's Bobby)

yeah see there are fear lvls decepted by the color of jennefers background blue is fine green is a little startled orange is alert and red is panic...what gives its importance is the closer to panic the color is the BIGGER the chance bobby will come...thats why staying in the blue(calm and collected)is an asset and a vitail importance but this is a time trial so he aint got the time to rest(recover lvls and go down to blue)making it a gamble that the little prick will walts in on im.
